Its crazy... all the pressure is gone and the Dallas players finally play free. No hesitation from the rolplayers, way more energy... Its allways incredible to see how important the mental part of the game is. Boston thinks "well we will win one of 4" and misses the edge, Dallas thinks "hell, who cares, lets just have fun" and everything works.

Up to Game #4, I had never seen Dallas get whipped so badly! Dallas played like they were PARALIZED WITH FEAR of Boston! Like, "Oh, we can't beat them..." Boston is a good team, but if ANYBODY IN THE NBA can whip them, it's DALLAS!

If Dallas keeps this mental edge and the role players do their thing and they play good D, the pressure is really on Boston. Even if Dallas plays 80-90% like this, they still have a good chance. Play with hustle for 4 quarters and role players deliver, then Dallas wins.

Tatum passed up some easy dishes to dunkers just to get smothered by the double in the paint. He was making those passes in the last three games. Just an example of how Boston's got it, but they seem to turn it off on some nights. Maybe they want to close it out at home? Anyway Mavs in 9

It took a lot of energy for the Mavs to prevent a sweep. Every game Boston has lost this post=season took a historical event from the opponent to beat them( food for thought). Let us see how the role players for Mavs show up in Boston. I still see Boston in a gentleman's sweep. Tatum and Brown went commando and forgot what got them there. I suspected that their desire and anxiousness to prove the pundits wrong affected the chemistry of the team. They jumped of the rails, and gave Mavs life. Mavs deserved the game.

@@gooderofficial it was a weird game. As a Celtics fan, if I didn't have friends over I probably would have turned it off at QTR time. I knew something was off when I watched Tatum not boxing out against Green. You notice it in the little things. Then Holiday missing bunnies, Brown not lifting like he normally does when driving to the basket and some strange passes being thrown out of bounds. I just don't think the Celtics are THAT bipolar. I could be wrong and they just laid an egg and the Mavs certainly did play very well. I get suspicious though when the officiating reinforces the result - which it did. And then the way they talked at the postgame pressers was even stranger. But hey, what can you do when millions of dollars are in play. Guess all you can do is enjoy the quality basketball on display and live with the decisions the NBA sometimes makes as a business.
