I never met an interpretation of opus 35 that was as convincing as this one! Thrilling from begin to end. The violence, the helplessness, the tenderness, the peace, never a moment where there is just sound but no music. A superb rendering!

@@leonardodelyrarodrigues3752 It was too slow and heavy interpretation, imho. He's still brilliant, but Lukas definitely won my heart, as well as my technical head.

@@jorgegutierreztellez3663 It must definitely be a matter of taste then, because I can't find any interpretation that comes close to Yulianna Avdeeva's in my ears, It's so much fire, passion and intensity, it's an orgasmic expression.

THE MODERN GRAND PIANOS OF TODAY HAVE A HARDER AND SHARPER SOUND THAN THE ROMANTIC PIANOS OF THE EARLY 19TH CENTURY. FIRST WE CHANGED BACH FOR HARPSICHORDS AND NOW IT IS TIME TO GO BACK TO ROMANTIC 1820 PIANOS FOR THE CORRECT SOUND NEEDED TO THE NATURE OF THIS EPOCH OF MUSIC. CHOPIN HIMSELF DID NOT LIKE THE LONG GRAND PIANOS PREFERING A SHORTER PIANO FOR HIMSELF. WHY?
