Thank you Tayler and Tyler for your hard work and love of the scriptures-when you teach with the Spirit the words come to life---and again the adversary sees opportunity on the internet he wants to feed the sheep of the lord, he wants to divide and conquer but if we follow the Prophet and his chosen teachers we are on much safer ground.

WOW!! You've opened my eyes. I can't tell you how many times I've read this(I'm 69 years), but this time I actually saw myself in this whole lesson. Since this Sunday is Fast and Testimony, my Fasting will be just on gratitude. When I pray, I first pray for the many blessings that I received during the day, then pray for those who need His help (whether it's physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual). So thankful that when I turn towards Him, He is there to save me. Thank you both for your help in explaining the scriptures to a simpleton like me.

I don't want to sound great but Jesus is great and I have felt him pick me up so many times recently and in my past He is real he is real I say it twice to convince myself because it is faith-driven and he is real and that's how hard it is sometimes. He can be so real to me but then his presence can leave because it's been so strong it comes quickly back because my faith is like a mustard seed but it's like I know Jesus is there, even always, if you know how to find him and if you know what to look for, you will realize Jesus is there so much! At least that's in my experience. The more I realize Jesus is there, the stronger and more powerful I feel about the positive direction I'm headed with his support.

Wow. This was so GOOD. What a great foreshadowing of Christ's death and resurrection in the story of Lazarus. Perhaps Jesus was weeping because He felt EXACTLY what God would feel when Jesus would die and be resurrected too. What a beautiful teaching moment to all. They sought to kill him because they felt He would take their place and their nation. The IRONY of that statement is that He doesn't and will never take away from us. He gives Life and is the Life and Resurrection.

I have always had an issue with the Prodigal Son parable. I appreciated the insight 4 years ago that the both of you gave that helped me understand this better. I can understand the older son's reaction. He probably saw how hurt his father was by the actions of the younger son. The eldest was there supporting and being a son his father could be proud of. Now the younger wants to come back. I don’t think the eldest was being self righteous, but cautious for what purpose this younger wanted to gain with his return. I read this parable as the eldest's concern for his father. I also feel the father needed to help the eldest know that he was aware of what the eldest has done and that hasn't changed. He still loved him too, and all he had, all his heart, was his, but he also is relieved that the youngest is back, and he wants to rejoice over that.

I think we could have a different analogy regarding the 90 and nine. We know that Jesus would not leave them unattended, so they have been left in care of their ward leaders and their stake leaders while JESUS goes after the one. The 90 at nine or not perfect but they’re striving for perfection and are faithful. As much as we strive to go after the “one”, we can’t do it without CHRIST. Just food for thought.

Prodigal Son parable: I think it is interesting to note that BOTH sons were given their portion, with the oldest son being given a double portion according to Jewish tradition. BOTH sons received all that the father had. "...And he divided unto THEM his living." (v 12)

In relation to the parable of the laborers... Those who went to work first were paid more. Almost anyone who has been unemployed and stressed about that unemployment, would rather be one of the first to be hired. Those people knew they would have a days wage. I don't know, but perhaps they were fed lunch, but even if not, there are huge blessings that come from work, even apart from the pay.

This could fit in with some peoples fixation on being perfect. They might begin to think that despite not being perfect and worthy to enter into the highest level of the Celestial Kingdom, the Terrestrial Kingdom is fantastic on its own so maybe I will go back. Isnt there wisdom in saying that of "dont fixate on having it all to the point that you cant enjoy having enough as to spare today." Suddenly you find happiness and joy in your life and you also discover that qualifying for the highest level in the Celestial Kingdom doesnt depend on you being perfect on your own.

With regard to the lepors, how far would they need to go before their faith and the healing/cleansing took place? In the scripture the Lord only required that they start the journey to see the priests. Wouldnt it be the same even if they had to travel for days and then were cleansed right before they got there? Living by Faith is not easy.

At the end of your video you read the scripture John 11:48, my question is why did the Pharisees think that if they all believed on Jesus that the Roman's would come and take away there nation? Taylor and Tyler have been friends for 11+ years. Taylor recognized that Tyler has a gift for teaching the Gospel, and begged Tyler to record his lectures to BYU students to make available online. Tyler always declined because he didn't want to draw any attention to himself in that way. When CFM rolled around for Book of Mormon 2020, Taylor approached Tyler and asked him to record a brief episode on the introduction to the BoM. Tyler agreed. Over time they kept recording episodes together and that eventually morphed into what you all now know as Come Follow Me Insights. Taylor has said on multiple occasions that Tyler provides the meat and application while he provides the color commentary. If you wonder why there is a disparity in time sharing, it is by design. Our editors even not many occasions where Tyler will stop teaching to give Taylor an opportunity to share, but Taylor declines, and instead motions for Tyler to continue. Hopefully this explanation helps regarding the setup of Come Follow Me Insights. Thanks for watching! We hope that your knowledge and love for the Savior increase each time you study with us!
