Whilst doing this lesson I had a call from someone to say that they could not afford to repay me money they had borrowed. They caught me at a good time studying the teachings of Jesus!! What could I say? I can’t afford to repay Christ, I have to be true to myself and practice what I preach!! The debt was forgotten.

So many great lessons, one thing I like to think about as the young rich ruler went away sorrowing, is that sometimes that is me. I go away sorrowing at times when given an assigment that takes me SO far out of my comfort zone, or seems really hard for me. Yet, I do it, so often our initial reaction can be sorrowing, but we move forward in faith doing hard things. Discipleship isn't alway easy. I also love to think about the line that says how the Lord beheld him and loved him.

What a beautiful presentation as they all are. Watching this channel is like opening a treasure chest. Each time I look to see whats inside, I always come away with a different and unique precious stone. My favorite parts of the NT are the conversations between the Jewish Leaders and the Saviour. I tend to have an Lol over it because I can see they put alot of energy into trying to trap the Lord. I wonder if the disciples had a little Lol over it. I really love what was said about the workers in the Vineyard. I actually thought the reason the late workers were paid the same as everyone else was because they were the final push that was needed in order to complete, or meet the objectives of the day so to speak. Without their contribution in the last hour, the goals of the vineyard would not have been met. The early starters would've been running out of energy and could've been fatigued before the last hour. The timing and contribution of the late starters was very crucial. That's why they were treated and paid the same as everyone else, as they should. This is my take on it. I really love what was said about the blind man. Oh the tears was just pouring as I was listening to this. Gosh, this was so beautiful. The insights on here are out of this world. There were lots of warm fuzzies hearing the heartfelt words of Bro Halverson and Bro Griffin. A big thank you from me for this amazing channel and place of healing. The Lord's spirit is on this channel ❤️.

Once more I am indebted to you for your linguistic and geographical context. The road from Jericho to Jerusalem is my road. The Savior's work crosses cultures (Aramaic to Greek), Mark's sense of "divorce" is different than Matthew's. As someone who joined the church at age 53, I was "hired" late in the day.

At about 42 minutes in the power of pride is mentioned. Reminds me of a lesson I was taught many years ago by a mentor on my path to becoming a professional airline pilot! He said "Any pilot who allows his pride to make his decisions has a fool at the controls"! Boy, was he right!!!!

It's strange because all through the discussion of the parable, I kept thinking of the prodigal son parable. I couldn't get it out of my mind. It seemed to me that these two parables are one and the same! Thank you so much, Taylor and Tyler, for gifting so much of your time and considerable talents to us. You are a great blessing in my life. Every video of yours I watch is my favorite until I see the next one, and then it's my favorite one, and so on. 😀

Last week I felt the same way. The Prodigal Son was like The Servants in the Vineyard, before I knew this was part of this weeks study. 😊 It's so wonderful how all the scriptures intertwine, in their day and ours.

@cat3 Yes, I think you are right. The scriptures do all seem to have interconnective tissue. When Taylor and Tyler were talking about how the workers who had been there all day were a bit angry that the other workers had been paid the same, it reminded me of the son who stays home and doesn't squander his inheritance. He is angry that the Father is making the prodigal a son again and giving him the same reward. It really is the same story! 😀 I had never ever thought of those stories as interconnected before! Aren't Taylor and Tyler the best? They are the best teachers of the scriptures that I've ever seen.

I have struggled with the hired servants parable for most of my church life, and maybe I will still, but it is powerful to ponder these teachings, with humble hearts look for ways that I can improve.

Just think about all the peace and safety one gets by getting into the church, gospel, vineyard early in life, ad opposed to later in life. On my mission older converts would often mention they wished they had found the the church and gospel sooner in life. Great, great lesson. Thank you.

My Bishop taught a lesson on this rich young man.The bishop asked God what lack I yet? He is still inactive and has been for 20years. I think the answer to his prayer was get out of that hole. My problem is that I am unsure where the line to give to others, look after yourself and provide for your future lays. I would appreciate comments. Thank you both ❤️ Love from 🇬🇧

Sometimes when I do genealogy, Satan whispers asking why should we go to the temple for these sinners who chose not to follow Jesus or be saved! Gratefully when those thoughts creep in, I feel compassion and the Holy Spirit overrides the taunting and warms my heart. We are all sinners and like the prodigal son, its never too late to come home to our Heavenly Father. Anything I can do for those who are being called to the vineyard late, I will do.

I've grown to love you two! I so appreciate you and your hard work you put into all of these lessons and freely sharing your vast knowledge and deep testimonies. May I make a couple of suggestions? For Taylor: Grow your hair perhaps a quarter of an inch and I think you'll look younger and more awesome :). Both: As you use your hands to point to the forward direction or progress; or to point rearward to regression or to what has already happened within your narrative, remember that your left is our right, etc. :).

This is probably obvious, but I realized something new today! About 5 minutes in, Taylor mentions that "di" means 2. When we say someone "died" it refers to their body and spirit separating into 2.

Seems like for the rich young man, we are also being taught not to keep commandments as checklist for perfection; once done, they gone. It’s all about why and for whom we keep them… and strive to always keep them.

Or maybe from one who served in nursery for years it was just the opposite. It was the children and their sanctifying innocence that served us. And we the broken of the flesh were reborn every time for those few hours each week as we watched over these sweet souls in the beginning work of their glory…

Seen a movie about the last week, many people who loved Jesus, following him, Many were not allowed in the crowd and those who shouting For Jesus,Were struck on the head and shoulders, knocked down so their voices wouldn't reach the leader , Pilot 😔, I'm just wondering how many people were allowed to go free Then on the pathway to him walking to be nailed to his final hours? Remember what he said to one woman who spoke to him? She could be a follower and yet understanding line upon line, hurting because of a beating in the crowd 😮 But brave enough to come with others and try to give comfort to him and family members. We only have to wait for answers Love his followers then and everyone Now All helping me gain weight on insight and growing my Testimony.Bless you both and prayers for all of you there ❤️📖📚🙏 1:11:01

I think when the young man was using the word "good" for "good thing or good master" he was referring to what "perfect complete thing" and the reason Christ deflects is because his misson was not yet complete or perfect. Only our Father in Heaven could hold that title. The young man just wanted to do one last good thing and be done, but that's not life!
