With my little prodigals I had to come to ask myself, and it took a while at first-is it more important to be right or to be loved? I also had to remember that the more one judges, the less one loves. Now they come home and know they are loved and welcomed here. They have not returned to full fellowship with the Lord but they know I love them and that I love my Savior and Heavenly Father and those two things go together with peace and joy.

I, too, and a widow of 1 year. This, this spoke to me like not too many things since my sweetheart passed thru the veil.. I'm busy, but anxiously awaiting his hand again as he will, without doubt, and say , as he always said" aw, there's my beautiful girl." Then i hear him say " let's go home". I'm only 71, so i think I'll be here awhile, yet. ❤

What a magnificent podcast. Having been born and raised in Southern Alberta, served a mission in France, felt the emotions in the cemeteries of Normandy and had nothing but yogurt or bread and milk as an evening meal on many occasions, I have been renewed in my gratitude for a loving Father and a wonderful and supremely generous and good, elder brother. Thank you Michael and John and Hank.

I listened to the last comments of Brother Wilcox outside. Spring bursting at the seams is my view. I was greatly moved by his comments. I especially love "whatever your Friday is, Sunday will come." My "Friday" has been decades long and very gut wrenching, God promised Sunday would come, and I believe Him. The poem you read moved me, especially because I was sitting outside on my deck looking out at the glories and freshness of Spring's promise. I could envision the scenes described. Thank you for sharing such dear memories.

I watched this amazing lesson with Bro. Wilcox today 5/25/2023. Life has been too busy (I have been like those invited but had too much to do - and so my priorities have been skewed) 😞 … but we clear our head, our checklist and repent and get back on track. This lesson was amazing!!! Thank you so much for all you do to help me to “feel, see and realize the reality of the promises of the Lord 🥹. I have been truly filled today and will probably go back and listen again just so I can capture the amazing emotions of the lesson. God bless Bro. Wilcox, Bro. Smith and Bro. Bytheway. You are all such a blessing to me ❤️

I have felt no joy like that within this life, and to me it is not a wondrous thing, but a living hell that we chose to survive. While searching with all my strength for answers over many years, I regained my memories from before this life, I remember why I am here and why I chose to be here, so I have the strength to endure, if only just, but I have felt no true joy in this life. I have glimpsed joy in the moments doorways to Heaven are open, such as moments in the temple and when a loved one leaves this mortal life and family has come to guide them away from this life... I feel home on the other side of those doors, I can see those doors and converse with the angels, our family, who come and go through those doors... but I am always trapped on this side and cannot cross. I long for Zion, if I must abide then let me build up Zion and help to bring the kingdom of God to this Earth; as it stands even the air in this fallen world where Lucifer has ruled for so long is toxic and painful to breathe, so even brief moments of joy are tainted with grief and pain. Nephi doesn't describe all things about the mists of darkness, but as one devoted to the light and as one who remembers and can see and feel more clearly those things, even the air is painful to breathe in this world as it is filled with darkness. Of course within the temple the air is clean, and I'm glad there are those who have felt joy in this world, but smiles here for me are as fleeing as a spark that lights for but a moment and disappears.

I can’t let myself think too much about the people and pets that I’ve loved who are no longer with me because I have a hard time dealing with the emotions. Dr. S. Michael Wilcox’s words of love and remembrance put me back into a place where I could think about my Savior’s love for the lost sheep, and I know He will gather us all, whether we be lost to death or lost to the World. Also, how often do I forget or ignore the beauty that God and Christ give me each day? I’m surrounded by such a beautiful world that was created for us to feel and know of God’s love. So, take a walk and see and feel the love as you notice the trees, flowers, birds, and sunshine. This video really touched my heart and I’ll not forget it. I could feel our Savior’s love and felt to rejoice. We are loved and never forgotten.

Beautiful, fatherly commentary by Dr Wilcox. I wondered why Dr Smith made the presumptive leap to riotous living meaning surrounded by friends. Real friends might not have left him in this state. Henri Nouwen's book "The Prodigal Son" is a profound discussion of this parable. Dr Wilcox brings a lived Father's love. Thank you.
