Luke 24 | Christ Appears on the Road to Emmaus | The Bible

Christ walks on the Emmaus road. He appears with a body of flesh and bones, eats food, testifies of His divinity, and promises the Holy Ghost.
Luke 24:13-35 13
13 And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.
14 And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
15 And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
16 But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.
17 And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?
18 And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?
19 And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:
20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.
21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.
22 Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;
23 And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.
24 And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.
25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
28 And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.
29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.
30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.
31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.
32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
33 And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,
34 Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.
35 And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread.

I love this too. I think we can have our own walks and talks with the Savior. Sometimes, in quiet moments when I pray I feel him near. We can feel that sweet burn in heart of his love and friendship. They walked with Christ and did not know him after his resurrection. It is the same today Jesus walks with each of us if we will continue to be obedient reading the scriptures and pray in faith daily. What we ask for it will be given if we believe nothing doubting. We will be inspired daily and feel the peace and love our Lord Jesus Christ promise we could receive if we would only follow Him. Life is much easier when we can walk with the spirit daily and feel the peace and inspiration from our Shepherd. I used to walk without the spirit in this cold very lonely world with violence and accusations and never knew what peace felt like I sure as --'-- don't want to return back to that life of hell and misery. That life is too hard and now I know the Lord will walk with me each day and I love it.

I cannot imagine the things that they felt in that moment. They met a man on a road, they talked to Him for hours, they took Him to eat dinner, only for them to realize that HE was in fact Jesus. But, before they could do anything about it, He was just gone. Vanished. I purchased an antique Olive Green Velvet matting, hand cut heavy dark wood and 36" by 28" at an Antique Store going out of business 20 years before my conversion. There's a song sung in Spanish that speaks of this very incident called El Peregrino a Emmaus or calzada a Emmaus and it is very special to me. I was in a coma for 2 weeks and when I woke up I had this tune in my head but didn't recognize it. After a month, I got out of the hospital and when I was strong enough, my wife would take me to mass on Sundays. One Sunday as the church choir was singing a song, I turned to my wife and said," that's it!! That's the song that's been in my head and I couldn't get out"! I listened to The words and started balling like a baby , right then and there in the middle of everyone. I knew immediately what was, just like in the song a stranger comes to them and they don't recognize him until much later. I believe that angels came to me to sing but really, it was Jesus being with me even in my most darkest of days when death seemed like it was right around the corner or next surgery; it was Him trying to show me that everything would be ok and he has not left me!!

I testify that the things shown in this video are true, they did happen, I know because while i was watching the video, when they opened their eyes after the prayer and saw that The Saviour had gone, in this very moment I FELT the Holy Ghost through a shiver that came all the way from the top of my head to my spine, and made me cry. I am autistic, and because of my conditions it is very hard and rare for me to cry. I'm also not a member of the Church anymore, but I KNOW that i'll soon be again, even being out of the church and without the convenants I now know how much are precious, much better than i would if i didn't passed what i have to pass through, I never lost faith completly, because of the Mercy of our Heavenly Father, and the testemonies He gave me of good will, so I would know that in the end, there is a happy ending.
