Laura's good qualities far outweighed her bad. She was an excellent mother to Lucky and a good wife to Luke. She messed up when someone kidnapped her for two years.

Ok Lucky is right...they (him and Nik) have been hit with deep, crazy lies in a short period of time for their age (really for anyone's age) but the way he expresses his anger with such bravado is just way too far. Laura is right to tell him at his age things do seem simple and in black and white but life is going to show him that it's not going to be the case (spoiler alert...he's going to have some jacked up things happen in his marriage down the road 🤢😒🙄).

how the writers feel they could make us believe that they could end a magical marriage of 20 yrs. and laura would immediately run into another mans arms, and a cassidine man at that. hard to swallow.

Agree, the writers rushed Laura and Stefan. Lots more could have done in many directions...much more storyline for all involved.

I wouldnt call it rushed. The story started in 1996 and got stalled in 97 when Genie was on her long maternity leave. Stefan and Laura didn't make love until Nov 99. A year away from this Thats rushed? ​@donnaverchio9678

I love Laura ! And I love LnL and L ! But this story line shows Laura as such a habitual liar. Lucky even says that he would have imploded holding onto such lies for so long. I remember that in the late 70's and early 80's others called Laura a liar as well. She lied about her affair with David Hamilton. Luke told her she was a liar because she couldn't admit her feeling to him. Scotty called her a liar. He mother (Lesley) called her a liar. Even Frank Smith said that Laura was a fantastic liar for such a young girl. True she had a lot of forceful men against her that put her into bad situations that made her "lie", but....it's only a soap opera !!/:)

I think it's more Laura denies the truth. She wants sunshine and good feelings and pushes darkness within her way inside afraid it will break her. It became a survival tactic. It makes sense that she finally snapped into madness. Lucky has some of his father's sadistic anger.

Laura has abandonment issues. Her lack of truthfulness has always been about trying to preserve her sense of connection and belonging and to literally in many cases save her family members’ lives. It’s complicated and that’s what makes her an interesting character.

Was bad choice in casting for sure. She should have had lighter hair. Luke had lighter hair as Laura. Maybe the kid was not good at lines or would not say what they wanted her to.

VERY SELF RIGHTEOUS kids can be and downright cruel ... But he finds out.. Sadly my son acted this way , so puritanical. ASIDE from that part , I'd thought his personality was perfect, his heart and soul. But his Grandmother I've nick named Helena , my Mother in Law SHE REALLY did attempt to talk my husband into hiring a hit man. We were really close ,our family was the Brady gang.. Alot of people knew us to be a special family. It all came crashing down , And Hard. LAST thing that's happened in our soap is that we showed up unannounced to our sons on New Years and There we saw Helena Dar through the bay window of our sons home. He accepted her bribes over time she built her lil Alliance with him and my middle daughter. I've accepted crumbs and their Dad and cried ourselves sick... It's a trip watching the parallel stories that relate to my life so much. MY mother in law should be a death row. She's methodically done one sick thing after another to slowly torment anyone whose challenged her .....J wish I could put her picture here...ohhh it'd scare people. The eyes..
