People forget brooks didnt do much until this season, which really doesnt count because most players perform when they are on their last year of a contract

I think he stayed 5 years to long at the tigers. Had he moved in 2018/19 we are probably talking about a different player. Because the tigers are a garbage organisation, and woods has performed since leaving, Tedesco and Moses have. Adam Blair did to. Players leave that dump and find form and accolades with monotonous regularity, and when they all came through, brooks was the star. Not Moses not teddy.

If Bob Fulton sees JS as a no.6 thats good enough for me. At second row the main requirement is a guy who can back up in attack and slam a few guys in defence. Is that Josh's profile? I like the creative five eighth's like Kenny, Fittler .. their job was to create a bit of uncertainty in the defence. I like Brooks and what he brings but I dunno ... personally I'd prefer my 5/8 to be a bit more slight of hand and have a few tricks up his sleeve.

In the tigers defence, Luke only really started performing this year for the first time in a couple years. Had he left when Teddy and co did I honestly think he'd had much more success in recent years.

I think it will be good for brooksy to not be the whipping boy any more. DCE knows how to win and Luke can learn heaps from him. I know Luke was on big money but he was not the only player in that team. The political bs that goes on at merged clubs also has a big effect. Deal is done. Frees up a lot of salary cap. Tigers need to move on and sign a good half soon.
