I agree, I think he was so humble and soulful that he preferred to live a life full of the love of his family and friends..to keep everything real and stay away from Hollywood/fame dramas. This show the kind of good person he was. Keanu Reeves is another actor who tends to stay away from the spotlight and lives to live a normal life as much as he can. Love these kind of people. Humbleness is a gift or is a quality you learn and master through life.

The character of Dylan could have been a complete a-hole and it would not have made one difference to me. I was in love with the character because of his looks, period. Not only admitting to shoveling asphalt but also telling someone on the crew prior to 90210 that he put in one the speed bumps in the road where the set was located. A country boy from Ohio. Who loved Garth Brooks and wore cowboy boots and hats. One of my favorite episodes is the Real Mccoy. He's in a western flashback. Jason Priestley directed it.

Why did this guy of all people have to die? Of all the celebs...I guess my dreams of Dylan and Brenda reconnecting as a surprise in the 90210 reboot...Maybe in season 2 or 3 since they weren't signed on...will never happen now. Maybe in heaven. Luke Perry handled overnight stardom with such class and was an underrated character actor outside of 90210...much respect. To all the people who say he was just an actor on a corny teen soap opera you clearly weren't born between 1973 and 1984.
