Beverly Hills 90210 class of 1993, which happens to be our class as well. This was THE show when going through high school...I totally copied Dylan McKay's style back then, thought he was so cool. I remember Luke on 90210 from my adolescence. What really hurts though is remembering him in the movie 8 Seconds. He was so wonderful in the role of Lane Frost. Losing Luke is a double whammy to me because it is like losing Lane again as well. Rest in Peace Luke. Thanks for helping make my childhood a little bit better with your sweetness. I think it's "just the way it is" for any new actor who even remotely resembles James Dean. Since 1955, they have been trying to find the "new " or the "next" James Dean which is an unfair burden to put on someone. There was and will always be just One James Dean. He left us in 1955 and can never be replaced. We need to accept that and just let new actors be who they are.

In 1992 I was 17 and Luke was a kind of “James Dean” to me and to all of that generation. I’ve met my “Brenda” in 1994’s High School class then got married in nov/1996. We’re still together ‘till today.

Thet never quite captured the essence of the original 90201, it was special back than, and the characters & actors were better, and ratings were wayyy higher and it became the biggest thing in all of television compared to the reboot they did. Nothing can touch the original 90201 legacy. Hollywood can keep making remakes and reboot but they still will never compare to the original classics.
