Luke fails to realize that Costa also had to fight at high altitude in Utah. He uses the high altitude and broken nose as an excuse rather than giving Costa credit for breaking his nose and fighting at high altitude as well.

It's awesome that Luke is free, and I think he's got a lot more talent than he's ever been able to show, which is scary because he's done good stuff. But I said we'd see stuff like this, as the UFC is facing a public image crisis. They're trying to do things to change the perception, as there's been many of the same grievances for years. It's a win-win, it never made sense to hold these guys hostage to contracts. Yet…it still feels like it's disingenuous.

When he retired in the cage in after the Costa fight, it was one of only times he was truly genuine and not talking like he usually does with tonnes of ego, he was very open and honest during that speech. He doesn’t seem free or happy, which is why he’s a little delusional about his prior fights etc. either way, he’s still a great fighter to watch!

Costa was winning the fight convincingly and Luke showed great grit and determination not to get finished. He barely survived. No idea how he can believe he would win another fight against Costa. If guaranteed victory, why didn't he campaign for a rematch and leave UFC with a win? This was gonna be a big fight that was probably gonna happen.

I don't know man. I am seriously worried about Luke. Last time in that ring he was not only hurt but also very gassed. I thought he would call it a day.
