All strikers should strive to improve their jabs. Even great kickboxers like Luke. The jab is useful in situations where a kick isn't always practical.

quenquen411 Ward cant do it better because what I am talking about is illegal in boxing. Sure under Strict boxing rules, Ward may be able to work around those rules and push the limits.. But if those rules were not enforced, every boxer would have a hard time dealing with it, without specific training for it. Know the rules of your sport.

Now, if it's an mma fight..even with 4 ounce gloves, the topic gets flipped on it's head. Any top 20 UFC featherweight would whip Mayweather in an MMA bout

maybe in a strictly boxing match, in an MMA match a boxer would look like a joke. Mayweather would be dismantled within a round and severely hurt. McGregor would really hurt Mayweather in a street fight or MMA fight. Even in an all striking match with no ground game, but knees, elbows, kicks, spinning back hands, every kind of striking is a go and McGregor kills Mayweather. I'm a Mayweather fan but his only chance is in a boxing match where you take all of McGregor's tools away from him.

123 1 lol why? holly holm is effective only because she has a great kicking game to go along with it. Id rather say the most dangerous type of fighter is a Tae Kwon Do guy who understand MMA.. Much greater balance, flexibilty, KO power in the legs, and it translates ALOT to juijitsu aswell. Boxers are the worst base in my eyes. Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Karate, TKD, Wrestling everything thriumps it. oh and u are lying about anderson silva, he was a Tae Kwon Do black belt as a youngster, and did muay thai later on.. He only dabbled in boxing. jeez.. You have only trained boxing right?? thats why ur so biased i guess. lol. Open your eyes

Overall talent, luke looks notably slower and less coordinated. You can be a fast novice, and luke was just a novice. "Rockhold gots no jab" is applicable to what this was... sparring in boxing. The same way if they were training pure wrestling you could say, I don't know "x has no takedown defense." The man has no jab. Tabiti went easy on him as to not discourage him into not coming back to the sport of BOXING as he stated, and Luke got to train with a boxer. Good for him. He still has no jab. Boxing very week. If boxing is the worst base explain Holly Holm and Conor McGregor? Basically you can come from any base and get into MMA and "mix martial arts" ...but no grown man can realistically come into boxing and accomplish anything. Big difference. No big deal.
