Luke's Birth Story

Luke couldn't wait to join our family, and came FAST! There wasn't even time for an epidural (ouch!), but luckily we made it to the hospital just in time thanks to Shawn driving 100mph on the freeway and running all the red lights, haha! Never been more proud and in awe of my body that knew exactly what to do.

I never had an epidural with my 4..not even with my 10lb 14 oz baby... not many do here. My cousin's 5th baby came in 20 mins. She was at the beach.

I deleted IG, and had so wondered about this babe! Congratulations!! It is SO empowering to do it without interventions! But it hurts SO BAD. Dang. But being able to walk right away or within minutes is mind blowing. You go girl!

My fourth baby came about that fast! My contractions started and I was sure it was go time. I had a regular appointment scheduled that day, so I just showed up for my appointment in labor. 😂 by some miracle, labor stopped in the car, it's a 45 minute ride so i wouldn't have made it otherwise! I got in the birth center, sat in the midwife's office for a minute to talk, thought i had to fart so i pushed a little, and my water broke. 🤣 It moved really fast after that. Went downstairs to the birthing suite, they were filling up the tub, i got in, and after like one contraction, I felt the need to push. Got her head out (while yelling "shhhhiiiiiiii") and asked for confirmation if her head was out. They were about to say no, because they didn't even realize i was pushing. Had to get out of the tub because her shoulder was stuck. She was my biggest baby at 9 lbs 1 oz! Anyway, congratulations to your sweet family!! Babies are just the best, aren't they?!

Yes! I have 3 boys too- my first I got an epidural, my last 2 I did not and they came too quick to get one 😏 With my last boy it was about 2 hrs since my first contraction and got to the hospital 10 mins before he was out, never felt so much pain in my life...And he came out so fast he snapped his umbilical cord 😆 So happy for your family, and thankful he's healthy 😊💗 Enjoy!
