I can’t believe Luke was killed off this way 🙄 Yes his dementia made him not realise he was in danger from falling… but I actually thought they was going to end his life in a proper emotional way, more to do with the dementia. For example, Luke simply passing away from it with all of his family around him. With the flashbacks playing whilst he was dying. That would’ve really hit people. They built up this storyline for him to die from falling of a cliff…. Very disappointed

I know people are disappointed that this is how died in all honesty I wasnt expecting it. I get why people are but i think in a way it is a good way. To show that it isnt always the disease itself that takes peoples lives it can be the effects of what it causes. It was very sad and very heartbreaking but unfortunately realistical people do die before the illness actually reaches its peak.

Luke was enjoying life with family but his lack of awareness of danger as a part kf his dementia is what took him away. Out of everyone the one I feel most sorry for is Ollie he left before his dad fell to get a new battery for the camera that will eat away at him inside and probably start him on the path to drug use again I’ve read a few comments that say they wished Luke died in Cindys arms when they were sitting together talking I thought they’d kiss he’d lay his head on her shoulder she’d turn to the horizon talking about there future and for him to have passed when she looked back at him but obviously Hollyoaks decided to go with the shock factor

So Hollyoaks took a truly serious matter in our society today and then gave it the most ridiculous ending! What they should have shown is the way these poor people with various forms of dementia end up in homes as their families suffer in the long times they try to care for them. Instead this programme has made a laughing stock of the entire illness and situation. Why pick such a ridiculous ending to a very real everyday situation. As someone who works with dementia patients full time they could've really highlighted end of life care here and show just how impactful and emotional and in a bittersweet way how touching it is but no hollyoaks does the dramatics..but then again it also does highlight just how much dementia can effect mobility, mental and cognitive behaviour amd deterioration ect but it would've been nicer as a care provider to show how families go through end of life care and palliative care with this

That's...abrupt. Edit: It's not a stupid end, though. It's poorly handled, though. This way of dying needed to be drawn out in terms of the symptom that caused this. I shouldn't be hearing exposition about it a few seconds before it happens
