I'm honestly surprised Clementine's group came out of that so well. They were facing assault rifles and shotguns against their handguns and they were directly facing their opponents when the shootout started. But by the end of it Mike and Luke are just wounded and only Rebecca is dead, and she died before the Shootout began.

In my playthrough, I had Luke get the baby. That makes more sense for him to be shot getting the baby to safety as opposed to just running out of cover to try to shoot the guys. That was an idiot move that I would not have seen Luke doing.

Now here is what I would’ve done different with nicks death. In this episode when clementine makes the choice to save Aj or run to cover if clementine grabs the baby on the way running back she trips and nick runs to pick her up getting shot just before reaching cover. And if clementine runs for cover nick runs out to get the baby getting shot just before making it back. This makes his death seem a lot less meaningless than his death in episode 4 since he’s not incompetently dying to walkers or getting a lazy off screen death but instead died trying to protect the kids.
