I find it funny, yet extremely sad, that everytime you make a wrong choice in these endings, Kenny usually says that you made the right choice. I think the best and true ending is where you leave Wellington with Kenny and AJ (The only ending where he doesn't say you made the right choice or something along those lines). I'm glad that it was the ending I chose in my first playthrough. I could never bring myself to like Jane. She seemed so selfish and irresponsible. I like to justify picking Kenny with what Pete said in episode 1 "Sometimes you gotta play a role, even if that means the people you love, hate you for it." Kenny played the role of the guardian. Willing to risk it all for those he loved. He didn't care if everyone hated him for it, he did it anyways. He may have been slightly "overzealous" at some points throughout this game, but in the end, you learn that he really does want the best for those he loves, and he truly is willing to do anything to protect them. Kenny is the kind of man I will always strive to be. Hardened through adversity. A true hero.

ItsZifx I think in season 3 that Kenny is dead, because you got the option to save kenny or jane, and that makes them determinant, and when someone is determinant, they dont do much in the time after that! Just like nick, you could let him die in episode 2, but you could also let him alive. and he didnt do much in episode 3 and 4, and nick died in episode 4!

This seemed to have been an easy choice for some people. Most people have picked to let Kenny kill Jane. I, on the other hand, had an unfortunate time picking between Kenny and Jane. Kenny, even though he says he'll protect you, is very unstable. Like how he did with Jane, he could snap at any minute. If Clem ever let that baby die, we don't know what he'd do. But, Kenny and Clem have a history. It's very hard to shoot someone that actually lived from season 1 to the end of season 2. And, Jane lied... Which pissed me off to no extent. After watching all the endings with Kenny, I now, unfortunately regret my decision. I killed Kenny. I never thought a game would make me think so much about a decision that isn't even real. I'm probably gonna replay the ending and keep Kenny. But even then, I'm still not gonna have an easy time choosing. I did not expect such an emotional toll.

But that's the way the story is heading for me and there ain't no turning back =) One day I'll go over the seasons again. Regardless, seeing the debate here proves how masterful the character arcs and story are in this game. If only the TV show was half like this...

John Hutchins The problem with the TV show is that it's pretty much written like a soap-opera. They never have an actual plan to make the characters change over each season, they just give them bullshit emotional struggles to keep things 'interesting'. Eventually you start to realise how little everybody's changed since Season 1, soon after you realise that nobody actually has a personality TO change, they all just have one or two different modes of attitude, occasionally they get challenged so they cry for a bit, then everything goes back to normal. The game couldn't get away with that bullshit, people would realise how the characters haven't actually changed, rendering all of their choices mean-oh wait I just described a David Cage game...

I shot Kenny too. I like to keep it that way only because it was the decision I made the first time. Even though I regret it a little I'm gonna keep it that way. You can't go back in life to see the outcomes if you had made different choices and then make those choices because they had better outcomes. I know this game is not real life but giving it the realistic feel it deserves everyone should just stick to the decisions they made the first time around without knowing what would happen. The point of this game is the decisions and the difficulty of living with the decisions you've made. Going back and making the decisions after watching a video that show's you the outcomes makes no sense to me. You basically take away the point of this game and story.

When Clementine told Kenny that she didn't have the baby, he was mad but he didn't hurt her. I think Kenny wouldn't be able to do anything to Clementine because he sees her as his daughter and she reminds him of Lee so much. Kenny respected Lee a lot and now Clementine as well.

However, adding - because it's the one that harmonizes with the theme of the whole season - is making an argument which shows a particular quality that other endings lack (that being a fact). Obviously, many people prefer a story that provides strong emotions, not necessarily a coherent, thematically driven plot, so they may and will differ about which ending moved them the most - thus basing their opinion on emotions. Now, if we'll look at the story form an analytical point, the last ending is the one that supports the game's message the fullest. Therefore I hope you see, that I don't say - I like green more than red - but rather - In a box full of green pieces another green fits better than a red one.

I felt the same way too, but When you do think about it rationally, Sure Clem turning them away was fucked up, But as they walk away you see the man had a gun in his waist band. A lot of people would argue it didn't mean anything and it was only for self defense. But if you watch season 1, this season and the side season, like 199 days or whatever- you realize that when the world went to shit, a lot of good people also went to shit and became corrupted. I guess in a way Clementine knew people were fucked up and within the slightest split second anyone could change and get everyone killed. That man could have been looking out for just him and his family. Clem could have allowed them in and even when Jane states she was unsure how much more the food would last, that could have been enough motive for that man or even the woman think '' It's them or us. We save ourselves and out son, or we keep sharing until we die''. That split second thought would cost Clem, Jane and even the baby their lives. Think of it this way. No one helped Christa or Clem. People didn't trust anyone, Clem had a reason to understand and see how fucked up the world went and how people acted.

*Conspiracy Theory Time* So im pretty sure that the start of season 3 will work out like this, so the continuity will work out no matter who you ended up with. *Jane without the family* If you dont let the family in, they will come back and kill Jane, then Clem will run off and be out in the wilderness with just her and AJ like if she was on her own at the end. *Jane and the family* They will attack you to get all the supplies, killing Jane in the process. Clem will run off and be out in the wild with AJ like if she was on her own at the end. *At Wellington* I assume Wellington will either get overrun or Clem and AJ will get kicked out. Either way, they'll be out in the wilderness. *With Kenny* Either bandits or walkers will attack. Kenny will die, and Clem and AJ will be alone in the wilderness. *In the wilderness with AJ* Well, they could really go in any direction with this, as they could pretty easily tie all the other endings into this. Im assume Christa might re-appear but thats just a wild speculation.

I let Jane die, then shot Kenny. I was tired of both their shit. Kenny was unstable and not safe to be around with a baby in the apocalypse, cos he'd start a war if someone disagreed with him and I thought it'd best for Clementine to end his story, so fuck him. Jane was a manipulative bitch, she faked a baby's death to get a reaction out of someone and then played the "It's just a prank, bro!" card, so fuck her. I wanted Clem to be her own person. That's what I made Lee try to teach her. Being alone with AJ is, in my opinion, the most fitting ending of Season 2. In my playthrough, Clem saw that the living aren't always allies, but that she should never give up hope and that she should take matters into her own hands. That's #MyClementine.

Honestly, while I think the best ending for Clem is going to Wellington (and leaving that asshole Kenny behind) I still think sticking with Jane would've been the best choice in a real-world situation. The time-skip was kind of a narrative cheat. Kenny was taking you north, where it was colder, with little food for you and him and NO food for the baby, with no idea if there would be any food, supplies, or shelter along the way in the near future or how long it would take to get to Wellington, or if it was even real or still in-tact. If they'd actually SHOWN that journey I guaran-damn-tee you you wouldn't have made it there in one piece. The baby would've starved or you all would've gotten hypothermia, or someone else would come along that would end up being the wrong person for Kenny to antagonize, or the baby would've died for some other reason, or something else bad would happen to make Kenny go off the deep end. Jane just wanted to take a short detour to grab supplies at Howes before they make a final decision about their ultimate destination. At Howes you could be reasonably assured there'd be a few days worth of food for you AND the baby and temporary protection, even before the ending confirmed it, and Kenny just wouldn't hear of it, just like he wouldn't hear of anything anyone else ever said to him. Jane always ultimately let you make your own choices and did what you wanted, even if she didn't agree with it. She'll attempt to save Sarah, let Arvo leave without taking his stuff, and let the family into Howes, and not only does she debate with you calmly without yelling and screaming, but she doesn't even need that much convincing because she respects you and respects your judgement. I can't recall a single time before these ending scenes where Kenny compromised with anyone for any reason, big or small. He either screamed at people until they gave in, or just ignored them and did what he wanted. It's nice that they give him opportunities to redeem himself by admitting that killing or leaving him is the right thing to do and that he's not fit to take care of you, but it kinda rings hollow when you have most of a season dedicated to showing you how Kenny is an unstable, self-centered, rage-aholic wreck and a danger to your survival and then having his insane, wreckless pipe-dream of a plan magically pan out. It's like "Hey kids, I know all narrative signs are pointing to this guy being bad news, but fuck it! I guess the guy who alienates everyone by refusing to listen to reason and beats/murders people in blind rages would never ever hurt YOU, just tip-toe around him and avoid pushing his buttons and you'll be just fine. Remember that in the future when you have an unstable abusive parent or spouse of your own!" The ending where you choose to stay with Kenny and not enter Wellington is the worst in my opinion. It's like if at the end of the Phantom of the Opera, the Phantom realizes what a douche-canoe he is and lets Christine go, and then Christine just runs back to him anyway, and instead of sticking to his guns and being like "No, really, I am a horrible toxic human being who will continue to treat you like trash. Letting you go now is only the BEGINNING of my redemption" he goes, "Oh cool! I didn't actually have to sacrifice anything to become a better person. I just had to SAY I was going to, and then I was immediately rewarded. I have learned nothing."

I agree. Though you had been with Kenny though both seasons, he was an accident waiting to happen. Jane was usually the calm one and never forced you to do anything and she never got mad at Clem. She even said that Clem was 90% of the reason she even came back. I think Jane can really teach Clem some things she'll need to survive.

Team Kenny all the way here. I always hated Jane. Everything about her bothered me. Kenny was the guy who had my back all the time, he took a fucking beating for Clem from Carver. If that doesn't say enough well fuck it then. Kenny was right the whole season, and that is what the season showed, that trusting strangers get you nowhere. Arvo should have been shot right after that fucking shoot out, it was a deliberate ambush even though we let him go. I would have finished Arvo right then and there. Bonnie was always a backstabbing cunt, even if people showed her kindness she backstabs you in the back anyway. Mike was in leagues with Bonnie and feeling sorry for Arvo, a fucking kid who nearly got you killed not long before hell for all we know after taking their supplies the rest of the Russians more than likely would have shot you anyway. Luke was too short sighted to actually accomplish anything so he died thanks to his stupidity. In all, Kenny was the right guy, sure he is hot tempered and lashing out at people for being dumbasses was his way of dealing with the rampant stupidity of the group, you the player as Clem are the only one who actually look at how fucking stupid they truly are. But the real villain of the entire season is BONNIE. She is the woman responsible for everything that happened after Episode 2. It was her that gave away to Carver despite the gift of kindness she received. So everything else that happened can't be attributed to Kenny because BONNIE caused it all, and I am so fucking pissed I never got to pay that bitch back for the backstabbing, hell she double backstabs me that stupid bitch, UGH, I want revenge so bad.

Jane actually would leave Sarah behind, take the the stuff from Arvo, etc... she's portrayed as the cold survivalist type, who would leave or sacrifice anything to keep surviving, she would give up on anything that would be a bother to her, such as she did with her sister, and it may actually imply that she would leave Clem if the circumstance required. Altough Clem can take care of herself, and made a close friendship with Jane. Kenny actually loses it, but in the end hes always standing on Clem's side, doing whathever he's doing to protect her, even if it is in his own hot-headed way. He's also a survivalist type, he actually is always one in the group who's up tall for a fight, he never screws the group in dangerous or quick-time situations, and knows how to fix stuff and work with what he have, always with a plan, even if it looks stupid. His good quality in opposite to Jane is that he is always looking for the kids ( baby and Clem ), he takes care of the baby and maybe even of Clem as if they were his own children ( like when he loses an eye for Clem ). In the end he lost everything and is in a group which he does not trust anyone, with a plan that no one believes. But in all outcomes he turns out to be right, he's right about Wellington ( WAY better ending than the one with Jane ) and he's also right about the shitty group ( Mike, Bonnie and Arvo try to sneak away and leave them to starve ). And in his endings; when you get at Wellington he decides again that the kids are more important, that clementine and the baby are more important than him ( he realize he lost it, and cant take care of them ), and when you're about to kill him, when you go over to him he says you made a good decision because he was out of control.

The " story is tailored by your decision" bullshit is almost non existent so far in Season 2 ( Bonnie will still leave in the end no matter what, how the Russian group will attack you regards of what your choice is in ep4, or that Indian man will still die by Carver no matter what you do at the camp), so yeah.

I heard its easy to make your own weapons, seen some tutorials on youtube, I made a few, didnt turn out that great but its still good, gotta keep practicing, I buried barrels of food in my backyard and other places....shit like that

Cynical Earth Wellington actually turns out to be the best ending though considering what happens in season 3.
