I visited Myanmar years ago, some of the friendliest people in the world, which is why what's happening there is so horrible. Mainstream media practically ignores it, and it doesn't get the international attention it deserves. The Burmese people deserve much better. Thanks for covering this topic!

Hey Luke, it's me Samuel from the video. Again, thank you for visiting our country during such a dangerous time. 🙏 And for clarification, the embassy fees was not just $1. It was something and 1$ (eg. $251, $431, etc), and the bills my cousin had were only 100s, so the embassy could not return the change. And in the video, I went to him to buy a single $1 bill - which means that I'm paying for it. However, he gifted me $20 instead. My dad literally told him that I would pay for it even though he said it was a "gift" - at 27:34 . But Luke said, "No, no, you take it."

Agreed. Or go to areas that are currently under siege. Yangon is totally fine. The Burmese are such lovely gracious people. We went to Yangon last year (March 2023) and had a lovely vist - my 3rd time. Sure, things are very different from my last visit in early 2020. Difficult for the locals with blackouts and sanctions and internet restrictions. Still, totally safe in the city for visitors. I studied travel advice from the UK, EU and USA before travelling. We also had a daily guide for going to some really off the beaten track places. Very few westerners there. I have a lot of great video but never edited it into a film. Looking forward to my next visit. Sorry to see Luke's sensationalism of the perceived danger. If it was that bad, he would never have been permitted to enter.
