Nothing like Malaysia. This amazing super diverse country worths the visit of everyone. Nature, modern and old, five religions, three main ethnicities, urban and rural.. Affordable, generally very clean, nice people, good transportation and the list goes on. It just suits everyone. ah Malaysia!

I'm Malaysian living in Sydney. Sydney is artistic and well-designed on the streets but cold and quiet at night. KL has many modern skyscrapers, but some areas are dilapidated. It's bustling and vibrant at night, so be sure to experience the nightlife in Bukit Bintang, especially around Pavilion mall and Jalan Alor, it's like a mini Shibuya.

Maybe if you stay in Malaysia for 1 month or more you will understand it better, but if you first travel to a new country you really see it trough puppy eyes that everything is so new and cute :D

Most people in KL are tourist or foreigners, food is also more expensive than in the eastern peninsula of Malaysia..u should come to east Malaysia, people there mostly local people and they also friendly, food is also cheaper. That syrup drink would be just only 2 ringgit lol

Since you’re a Sydneysider, next time you’re in Kl do hop in the KL monorail line. The "doors closing" and the "next station" chime is the same with Sydney trains. And Sydney had a monorail line in the past which adds all of the interesting points.
