FFS as an issue is an easy compromise for both leagues. MLF can change to 4 quarters of fishing with every other quarter with or without FFS. BASS should implement a rule where you can only CULL with FFS/live sonar. Anglers would have to catch a limit before they can turn FFS on for the day.

Man I don’t live in W Texas and I have caught multiple teens. I caught myself not even casting at anything I didn’t think was 6+… and that’s only because we have giant smallies and spots out here. I didn’t know how to feel about it when I couldn’t get excited about catching 4lbers anymore. I like my Lowrance but that made me rethink things. Especially when it comes to species like big stripers. Guys guide for those here with live bait a lot. It’s going to hit them hard. That makes me think about the shad drifters after giant smallies too. I’ve caught multiple 30lb+ sacks of just smallies. Those live bait guys deep hook a lot of big fish already. I’m uber conflicted. I can’t lie.

Something that so many folks have mistaken about politics at the federal level, is that no matter how those people talk about each other, they are all actually very good friends and acquaintances with each other. They have private dinners and if you want to call them “events”, but it’s more kind of like a gathering of everyone, outside of the actual work place environment, just so they can spend time with each other to talk, share ideas and actually hash their ideas out in private conversations that we never see. They just feed us all of the rhetoric about how one side is inherently evil and only this other side can save us all. “I’m asking you to stand together to save our democracy!! We must ensure that (enter political party here) is not allowed to win this election. Their ideas and policies will destroy the very fabric of our nation. I’m asking you to stand together as Americans and defend our great nations democracy from the tyranny of the (insert political party here), by making sure that you go to your local poll center and casting your ballot for (insert political party here) this November. Our nation and all that we love are counting on you!!”….. None of that is realistic. And the use of inflammatory speech like that at the federal level has leaked all the way down through local politics. But since they don’t talk about the fact that they are actually friends with each other and that the things they say aren’t true, and it’s all only intended to play on the hearts and minds of people, in hopes to exploit them into voting them into office. The only thing that leaks down from the federal level, is the negative, “You’re destroying this country/state/county/city, with your policies, because of the party you represent”, type of stuff. And it ends up making real neighbors, who really are the ones most in need of being friendly with each other, in order to work together to promote positive change in their local communities, through the local governments. That’s what keeps feeding into this overly toxic and hyper aggressive and volatile situation that we are seeing today. The majority of people just see the rhetoric being spewed by the clown show in Washington, and they buy in fully to this speech about the other side is evil, and no longer your neighbors, your family, your friends. It’s all just evil and you’re going to be the hero that saves us all. That’s how you end up with already mentally compromised people attempting the craziest shit… How this crazy person actually managed to drag out a ladder, and climb a ladder with a rifle, 140 yards from a former POTUS, is a complete absence in someone’s ability to do their job effectively. The head of the secret service should’ve been relieved of their duty within the hour of that happening.
