if bass is going to allow the Johnstons to do what they did Sunday, then you can expect all anglers to start playing defense when their buddy is in 2nd. If moving in on, surrounding and blocking the day 2 leader is now part of the game, it will be part of the game. BASS needs to nip this in the ass fast, or it’s going to drastically change this sport. I’m not kidding. Surrounding and blocking the tournament leader is going to become the norm is they don’t step in and do something. Watch and see

Wish i was around to see how Denny Brauer or Tommy Biffle would react to a rookie fishing a spot they had fished for 10 years, 80 miles from the boat ramp and a VERY long way from the rookie's house 😂😂😂 Not saying what Chris did was right or wrong but I will say we still idolize Denny and Tommy's behavior. They are legends for their attitude, but now someone does it and they are the devil

So let me ask ya I'm not defending anybody just saying so gee knew about that spot from years past seeing other guys fish it is he not pose to go ther and say well thats Cory and Chris spot ? How many places has other anglers went to cause of this?
@ericahlstrom95064 ай бұрын
@CBGRTR I would expect Gee to chirp back at Chris about how after being on live on the spot so many times it's fair game. A little back and forth setting boundaries is fine. I wouldn't expect Gee to leave. But he shouldn't pretend he found the spot all on his own (give credit) and definitely don't tell someone to move in on Chris. That was where Gee really made a mistake and lost respect from guys I think. He had the moral high ground for the most part until then. It's definitely not Chris's spot after being on live so many times but I have no problem with a little back and forth on the water. Made for great TV and if it was Biffle it would have made even better TV 😆

I appreciate the way Gee handled it. He was pissed as anyone would have been under the circumstances and he fought back the only way he could think of by inviting Trey over to help pound on them. I lost any little bit of respect I may have ever had for the Johnston bullies. Tough guy Cory will have his day. Trust me, they all do. Calling Gee names and acting like he might take care of it before the blast off. I wonder if he would have been popping off at his suck if Ish Monroe had been sitting there or one of the lane brothers….i’m guessing not! And Mercer , going boat to boat asking anglers to sniff rock salt? Really Dave? How old are you? B.A.S.S. doesn’t need Dave’s help looking any worse than they have managed to look this year. Let’s not pretend CJ is rolling up on Christie, Hackney or a few others like he did Gee. He saw a baby face rookie who he knew he could bully on that spot. I didn’t have such a problem with it on Saturday since he stopped there on Friday briefly. I can kinda justify CJ fighting tooth and nail on Saturday to secure the AOY title and not going down without a fight. However, I think the bigger problem is on Sunday when he showed up again when he had little chance to win but could hinder Gee from winning. Just a bad look and this is coming from a fan of the Johnstons. To be honest, I am so sick of Thompkins and McKinney. Both super slimy. It’s sad when you’ve got class acts like Carl falling short of the classic (44th and first guy out) and you have people like JT who don’t do it the right way and take up those spots.
