Hello, Luke! There is an old belarussian fairy tale ,,give me the thing, that you didn't leave at home,,. The man was draving and the eavel spirit saved him. He promised the thing that he didn't leave at home. He signed a paper of leather with his blood. He returned home and knew that his wife had born a son. He was so sad. That is how the story begins. It is about the game and about honour too. I really like your story.l enjoyed lt so much. Thank you for your work.

Hello Luke. I thought it was absolutely amazing listened to your father telling us this kind of the English old literature. I love trying to read the Sonnet 18 by William Shakespeare, and listen to David Gilmor singing it. When I visited Stafford Upon Avon a long time ago I bought a small book with his Sonnets, of course I do not quite understand but I love listening to the words sounds when I find someone telling on the internet. Thank you so much.

That poem is brilliant and I do agree that Armitage did great job. It has an excellent ambience, pacing and all. When I was a teenager I received a book for girls my age ;) which wasn't very brilliant actually but the plot took place in Avalon and each chapter started with a short stanza from the poem Lady of Shalott. I kept the book long years because of that - I absolutely loved that :)

The description of the Green Knight reminds of the description of August Gissler (An engineer and treasure Hunter. From the late 1800’s to early 1900’s) By a journalist, in about 1890, (I believe he was trying to muster up some sponsorship/donations for a current treasure hunt he was on) from The New York Times, who wrote.. ‘Gissler is a breathing replica of Michelangelo’s heroic statue of Moses. His reddish beard reaches to his waist. His hair is luxuriant on his splendidly poised head. His eyes are as clear and as searching as an eagles. His nose is classical. His voice is profoundly mellow, fitting the man to perfection. His height is 6ft 3” and he is built like a wedge, like a man should be, with massive shoulders. His hand is as big as the hand of providence and so hard, his clenched fist can be used as a spike maul.’ It’s one of my favourite descriptions of someone outside of a book and I love that it was written by another man and in the 1800’s!

I know a lot of English words, I can understand printed text a little, but I can't speak and I don't understand spoken language. I didn't study English somewhere specifically, even at school. One of your videos came across to me on KZbin. I put on my headphones, turned on the video on my phone and just went about my work on the computer. I did not follow the text of the story with my eyes, your voice just sounded in the headphones instead of the usual music that I listen to all the time. two days at work I listened to your voice, every day one video. at first I heard only a stream of English speech and your pleasant timbre of voice. Naturally, I don't understand anything. but today, on the third day, I began to hear separate words, even if I don’t know the translation of this word, I hear it separately and I can drive it into the translator. I still don't look at the text of the story. I am very surprised and delighted. I will continue my experiment with you
