@@____-gy5mq Well, I want to settle from gentoo based Desktop, now arch-based distro to openBSD, in small steps. So now use the artix, I've tryed the live-void distro. And It seems a good distro. Just one prob, I cant install it on my MBR legacy hdd. I've 2 hdd's on my laptop. sdb I want to use for BSD in the future. Now I use my sda with btrfs subvolumes. So have 1TB hdd with only 1, luks1 btrfs encrypted partition, the sda1. My last windows was the XP. I've used linux-distros, without windows, for some years. But I still learning some linux stuffs. Not a profi. How ever, I want to install 2, or 3 disrtributions, on my sda1, on different btrfs subvolumes. One is the easy Atrix distro. The 1st distro I've installed via chroot in a terminal. And the 1st time I've used encryption & btrfs-subvolumes. Then the void-linux & maybe one gentoo-based distro. The prob now is, The os-prober with grub-mkconfig command don't see another subvolumes with another distros. Just if the different distros are on diffrent partions, like sdb1 & sdb2, grub-mkconfig, config the another distros to the grub.cfg file. I think the case is, I should config the 40_custom file for grub manually, to get choise another distros on subvolumes, when the grub starts. So I've to try it. What about Void-linux install. Cause I use luks encryption & btrfs subvolumes, I install it via chroot. Not with the terminal graphic installer. And there I doesn't get futher as the point to install the base system. Not the xbps-install, or the rootfs install doesn't work. Maybe my english & linux knowings are not much enough. But I think I did everything like in the installation documentation on voidlinux.org. In Artix is it just # sudo basestrap base base-devel ..... But the void documentation on their site says the install is different from basestrap comand. So I just create the btrfs subvolumes e.g. void-root, void-boot, void-home etc. on the sda1, where are my subvolumes for artix too. Mounted them, and that's all. To install the system on subvol=void-root mounted on /mnt, doesn't work. Maybe I make some mistakes. But I like the void-live I've tryed & want to use this distro for a time, till I install OpenBSD. Or even for longer. With BSD's, I have no expiriance at all, to this point. So if someone knows how to install void-linux-distro via chroot, I would be thankfull.

While collisions avoid probable meaningful code to be replaced in a malicious way that is a costly approach for enterprise, unless you have a closed network of packages like VMWare does, in fact, with Windows.
