He had to win the worldcup in order to finally get rid of being called "incomplete" all the time, even the great Pele called him that... and there is even a Book titled ”Messi, El Genio Incompleto”... can you even begin to imagine, how it must have felt after 10+ years of being called "incomplete" to go into your last tournament, your chance to make it "complete"?

It was like a fairytale story, the greatest player to ever play the game finally wins the biggest trophy in football. People had been holding it against him that Maradona was able to win it with Argentina and he would never, having lost the final in 2014 vs Germany. Given that he is 35 now and it would be his last World Cup, couldn't have ended any better let alone it was the greatest final in history in terms of a spectacle. It was justice for football and it will be generations before we ever see another player like him. The only thing that could have made it any better is if Maradona was still alive to celebrate it with him.

Man you so lucky that you found football before this magical moment, it was to see Messi win the WC. Just found you channel today and happy that you have opened you heart to this great sport. I have seen every match of Messi since he was 17 years old. Him and i are the same age, so it was a giant moment for me. Im from Denmark and root for the danish club Brøndby, and as most people outside america NFL is not a huge sport and we generally show the same interest as you do for football(soccer). But many years ago i decided to give American football a chance, and i feel in love with TO and Marion Barber and have been a Huge Cowboys Fan like you ever since. I hope more americans open the eyes for footbal and visa versa. Well you have a new subs in me and looking forward for more content.

Messi is a great player but spent most of his career playing on a stacked team in a league that has pretty much only one other team that was a viable contender to win the title . They lost in 2014 because Messi choked like he's done in so many tournaments in his career he wasn't even the deciding force in this WC since they were saved by more PK calls than anyone's been rewarded through the tournament. Cristiano Ronaldo is a great player as well and has dominated in all of the top 3 leagues in the world . Winning titles on squads of players that wouldn't even have made that Barca bench
