@@imaginarycorgi7312 the opposite actually, id happily never be able to leave the grounds apart from going to qudditch or the forbidden forest (abit like the old ps2 games) and instead have a super fleshed out Hogwarts with way more hidden passages, student quests, mini games such as wizard chest, detailed classes where you actually have to do stuff like in bully etc instead of it being an empty space with alot of simple npcs like the first one

It would be like Spider-Man 2 PS5’s addition to the original map. Basically the original map a tiny bit bigger with the London bits I mentioned. I’ve heard it will take place in Harry’s time. So maybe Grimmauld Place too.

I loved the open world of Legacy, but yeah something a bit more focused on the day to day life of a Hogwarts student would be very fun to me. Either that, or let us see other wizarding schools that were spoken of. I was really intrigued whenever they were mentioned.

This game always had mod support. But with new update all these mods not working now. The same sing with old savegames with these mods. New mods are junky and require WB connection. So now you're always being online under their control.

Funny this comes out right after I finished the game for the first time. Was decent but I agree with most overall reviews -- too much time running around random hamlets, not enough Hogwarts activities, combat only OK. I hope they listen to the gamers because it seems to me that criticisms were pretty universal. More Hogwarts, less killing random men in bowler hats wandering the landscape.

A little disappointed that it broke all my other mods, but that was expected. The real problem I have is that I like mods that keep the game fresh. I was using night curfew and immersive npcs so that I had to actually sneak around Hogwarts or sneak into shops at night to explore and get demigueses. I slowed down the time it takes for days to pass so that I could play slower. The biggest problem I have right now is that these mods are broken and I have no valid replacement yet. Hopefully a new mod is made or these mods are made official or the mods get fixed so they work

ive been following avalanche for a while closely and the core team seem to really care about getting the best product out for fans of the series. One thing with Hogwarts Legacy is that it is so lore accurate that you can tell they really do care about the game. I do hope they can continue to evolve after this warner bros business.

Initially I, like many others, was super pissed that my nexus mods weren’t working but I think we just need to give the mod authors a few more days/weeks. Already many of them have said they’re trying to figure out the creation kit to get make their mods compatible with the update. I’m hopeful that mod support will allow the authors to make more elaborate mods and give the game a second life and maybe even re-introduce cut content.

I was wary at first when this game came out. I eventually just forgot about it and never bought it. But just because of this update for mods and optimization I'm gunna buy it. It just goes to show there will always be a market for single player games with solid updates and proper support.

This game has the framework for the immersion mod it needs. Just a bit scripting. House points - actually works Curfews - you cant go outside at night after x hours or risk losing points, but can use stealth to fool the wardens. If youre not back before 5:30 am you automatically lose house points. Curriculum - you need to attend classes on specific times every weekday or risk losing house points. Classes take actual in game hours. You need to do this every day and theres a tineskip for the days the class isnt quest related / story related. Basically all the time you spend fooling around in the game is done either in between classes or at night, risking getting caught and losing house points.

If they just gave us a truly open world with a much better combat/magic systems. Do the whole school thing the proper way with the school breaks as the open world learning and leveling up phases. If you did all the school years as progressively harder season releases you'd have an endless movie style game.

Oh even as a avid Harry Potter fan me and my wife got pretty bored with the game. It’s a decent first Playthru, but it’s very lackluster as an RPG. I remember the developers were trying to compare themselves with the Witcher three, which is one of my favorite games ever made and if you compare the choices from Hogwarts legacy to the Witcher three, it’s not even comparable it’s honestly laughable. I was much sort of hoping we would get some thing like the Witcher three or fallout new Vegas when it comes to options and replay value set in the Harry Potter universe, but I barely passes as an RPG

I think they are keeping their word both ways Quidditch game is multiplayer live service The mobile HP games are monetized with micro transactions. Hopefully with those things existing, they leave Hogwarts Legacy as a single player adventure

No official 3rd party mod support? None? They went so far but still half-assed it. But I shouldn't have expected much anyways since it's WB. You already have mods, just allow me to make my own and use it instead of being forced to upload and get it approved by WB for some arbitrary reason first. It's a broken, gate keeping system. I doubt we'll EVER see any gay or transgender mods due to this gatekeeping of mods. It sets a precedent of taking features away but presents to players as an improvement and trying to monetize it. Theres no paid mods now but you never know! We're going backwards folks and AAA is a joke but we still keep buying it. We want companies to take our money because its bEtHesDa or hArRyPotTer and hopefully this $70 game gaslights me enough to make me believe I like it and I didn't waste my money when it's bare bones and basically exactly the same game comes out next year. Hoping my existing installed .pak mods from nexus mods would/will still work fine. RIP Small UI, School Makeup, NPC Schedules, Spells Enhanced, Reshade, etc. if not. Neglected to mention that this could potentially brick the thousands of existing mods with over 16 million downloads. My game looked almost movie quality with reshade running- I'll be really sad if I can't use it anymore.

How did u even get it to run ? Or is this not on a pc ? The up-date is and was terrible, loading time what was allready verry long to load shaders, is taking even longer now, and if you trie to start with mods the game chrashes. I find it not yet a big plus this mod system ingame, the way we modded the game untill 2 day's ago was better in my oppinion.

I dont agree that the game is a masterpiece for those of us who dreamt of a hogwarts experience game.. It sadly plays like a glorified ubisoft game, which to say not very immersive and very generic. The game has far too few student life elements, you cant even interact with the vast majority of other students.. you barely even take classes
