Halo 5 - Accuracy Tips and Tricks. Aim like a PRO!

One thing that might help: Make your trigger finger react to the red reticle. A good way to do this: Host a custom game on a dev map. Ask your friends to pile up in one place on the map. Using your magnum, sweep across them with your reticle until it turns red. Try to instantly hit the trigger as soon as it changes. Once you have that down, try it out in MM BTB. After you get comfortable with instantly shooting when you see red, play some Slayer. You will be so damn good at shooting heads without thinking that you will almost always be in first place without trying.

That's my problem, I do the static tank. I'm not new to Halo, it's just my reaction. I only tend to do it when I get jumped, I'm a turtle. I should move a bit more though. The hard part of that is getting into the habit.

good stuff. my sniper was definitely my weakness in game play when I was starting out (still is at times) I know this is an ultranoob 9000 move here but I improved my shot a ton by playing regret on forge and would practice shooting those beetle things that scurry around on the ground from different vantage points on the map. they have decent movement speed as well as sporadic movement

I would like to point out that theater mode's crosshair is off. Just for people that think they are missing their shots, also if you have a +1 you play with I highly recommend downloading the Octogon map and gametype. its essentially 1v1 shot practice for 12 minutes. it warms up your hands and it forces you to learn how to strafe to survive since there is no cover.

i was told another tip. if you uave the advantage that you should sync up with there straife and if your a shot behind in the gunfight to de-sync your straife in an attempt to make them miss a shot and give yourself the upper hand.

Hey Luke, I hope you see and reply to this comment. I have a question about your recommendation to follow the enemy's movements and mirror them to keep your reticle on target more easily. In a previous video you said that strafing from side to side is a good way to throw off the opponent's aim, but if they're not strafing, what should you do? Should you strafe or follow their movements?

Hi Luke love all your videos! What do you think about sight picture? Do you stare down your reticle and use the sticks to move targets into your focus area or do you move your ey s around the screen to find a target then try to swipe and stop on target then focus inside the reticle. I was experimenting with holding my eyes still and found I could be accurate (surprisingly) but play on a higher sensitivity (faster reaction) because I tended not to swipe or pin my joysticks also felt more controlled not as panicky because it became more natural feeling. Thoughts on your style? WHat do other high level players claim to do?

I hold my reticle on the player as long as possible. I don't swipe the reticle at all that only breads inaccurate shots. Try to maintain that accuracy for the duration of the kill

Agree to attempt to stay on target once acquired. I am asking what you do when looking for a target. Do your eyes leave the reticle and look around the screen or do you keep your eyes primary focus inside the reticle and use peripheral vision to find a target?

Another accuracy tip I did that I feel helped alot recently which some might find boring. Go into a custom game snipers set sensitivity to 10 horz and 10.vert and trace my reticle smoothly around objects shooting at corners especially diagonal like the big letter A on the pistons. Do it slowly and build speed as you engrain muscle memory, it thought me how to be more patient and the heavy price of jerking
