Well this was really meant to be tips to use in arena and seeing as though there are no vehicles in arena that doesnt apply, but yes the EMP function is very useful!

Awesome video with tons of great tips. The splinter grenades are great to block pathways and circle back around, but, as you said, really annoying to be killed with. Plasmas suck when you stick someone close and they thrust into you before they explode. Hey, what about demonstrating the plasma grenade trap on the lift to the sniper rifle in Colosseum??

When an enemy is rushing to melee you I find it really affective to throw a grenade against the wall towards you then thrust behind them. Disorients them and you are able to get behind them

Maybe too "meticulous" but you can also shoot grenades and they will explode. So if they're laying on the ground, and no ones picked them up, they can kill them.

Another thing you can do is if you thrust forward or backwards while throwing a grenade, they go faster and further than they usually go when you throw them.

grenade explosions are massively delayed compared to all the other halo games, if you play custom on your own, try getting a feel for how they work

I think a good frag tip is to throw them at people when they haven't seen you yet, instead of just shooting right away. If you do it right, they won't have time to react and escape. Then you can easily clean them up. Obviously go for a backsmack if you're in range, or use a power weapon of you have one, but throwing a nade before shooting minimizes chances that the guy will turn around and outgun you.

+SlimStealthy not a bad point, but that's entirely situational. If they are really out in the open with nowhere to run I recommend saving your grenades and just shooting them. You should be able to execute that kill considering they are out in the open and you should have the first few shots. However, if you lack a lot of confidence in your shot then that's definitely an effective tactic.

Update, splinter grenades do less damage on the initial impact, however the splinters now do increased damage and I believe if they hit one of them now it's an instant kill. Great for denying an area like lifts, doorways, power weapons etc....

Hey Proximitty.....You can also use splinter grenades to disable vehicles, like you can do with the plasma pistol.

you appear to have missed some points with the nades. . the splinters left behind by splinter grenades can be destroyed by frags . the lens flare on the plasma grenade can be extremely disorienting and can easily be used as a flashbang

yeah grenades are speed based, like you mentioned with the walking forward and back pedaling. So if you thrust and throw a grenade it goes way further. Thats more useful for warzone though. Im not sure about man canons or passenger seats of vehicles, or even speed boosts. i presume the grenades go ridiculously far, but not sure.

Well im a few yesrs late on this and it's not a grenade specific trick..this requires map awareness to a certain point if you're in a standoff with someone throw a grenade to lead em away from a spot and go around their blindspot trying to retreat from the grandad damage

When I get stucked I stop moving but when the enemy's close I run to then so they get damage by splash damage but when I'm close to my team I would run away from my team or jump of the edge of the map so I dont kill my team

Splinters sucked in halo 4 but then they got super good for halo 5. You said they needed to be nerfed and they are really powerful but they don't make or break a match. If thing that they're just as powerful they need to be. Having a strong grenade like that should be looked at the same way as a sniper or rocket launcher should be. It's difficult to beat someone with rocks 1v1 but nobody wants rocks to be nerfed.

Worst thing in the game. Takes away any skill. I get killed by grenade spamming noobs more than getting shot. Add these 3 tiny trash maps and it just becomes a spam fest. Halo 5 sucks. Worst Halo, unquestionably.
