In my opinion, negative points need to be a thing in these ranked gamemodes. I’m basically a bot with basic building skills, so I hover around 0-5 points a lot. I’ve noticed that there’s still a lot of highly skilled players around, along with worse players. So unless you’re a good player, ranked is basically regular Fortnite. Fighting players of equal skill and mastering building skills is far better than trying to compete against a pro who edits through three floors in one second and one-shots you with a pump. You learn nothing by getting destroyed. And I know that there will be the few assholes who drop points to gank on bots, but the likelihood is that bots will far outnumber the pros. Better yet, the number of points the pros will get will make them go back into the positives in 1-2 games, basically making the effort to have fun killing noobs not worth it.

I had the best game of this ever. The final few circles were on the snow biome, me and some random dude had both grabbed hamster balls and we kept on ramming down other people's builds. No one shot us, at all. At the end it was just me and the other hamster ball and we tried booping each other out of the circle. In the end, I won. I sent him a friend request and he accepted it. i think fortnite has to go with a ranked system if they want to bring back a lot of players who have left. out of my group of mates only 4 or 5 of us still play when literally all 15-20 of us used to jam, but the game just got too sweaty. having ranked is a great way to bring a lot of those players back

I find it really fun but also really frustrating at the same time. It’s sooooo hard to get kills against these players. Also getting placement points isn’t that easy either, it really requires smart rotations and good building skills. Unless you’re absolutely insane at the game you need to play super passive to score points and I get bored of it fairly easy but all the madness in the final zones is the most fun I’ve had whilst playing Fortnite
