@@agentequinox Yep, they were terrible the first time I met them. They surprised me and killed me in no time. Later I understood, that shooting the engineer must be my priority and I finally was able to finish the level. Overall Reach's Enemy AI is great with some exceptions.

the Grunts in Reach, seem to have a very specific yet mixed strategy and I've begun to see/notice the patterns keep in mind this is only how they act in Gruntpocalypse where they have no Elites or Brutes to rely on for leadership. So; Grunt Ultra = The leader unit for the Grunts distinquished by their white/silver armour and head plates. They will typically lead the charge rather than hang back like an Elite would. They seem to primarily focus on overloading the Spartan's shields with overcharged Plasma Bursts from their pistols; at which they will fall back slightly to allow their fellow Grunts to attack. They will fight normally with Minors and Spec-Ops, using both grenades and rapid pistol bursts. They require two head shots to kill. Grunt Spec Ops = Acting as the heavy unit for the Grunts, they tend to stay close to the Ultra's as they attempt to barrage enemies with Fuel Rod Blasts; very effective if the Ultra landed his plasma charge shot. If their original composition fails, they will scatter and flee in good Grunt fashion, but they will quickly re-gain composure and deliberately hang back, looking for ways to attack the Spartan's exposed rear. If they do neither of these methods; they will provide support fire with pistols and occasionally throw grenades. Grunt Minor = Most common unit, they lose morale quickly if Ultra's are killed but use their fleeing to their advantage. Whether it is intentional or not, the act of retreating can cause a Spartan to persuit a group of fleeing Unggoy, while another group scatters in the other area. This can unintentionally or deliberately create a flanking maneuver upon the Spartan, and the Minors are quick to exploit this. Further more, they have a tendency to always throw a grenade once their plasma pistols overload, as if to apply pressure. All of these Grunt types combined create a cohesive yet messy unit that gives off a "order through chaos" vibe. They have an initial plan and a simple tactic, but they are quick to resort to underhanded flanking maneuvers if things look bad and they cannot afford to run. And of course; if things look dire, they will opt for suicide attacks with dual plasma grenades.

ghostroaster 88 Hunters in Halo 5 are OP. They are the true definition of a Hunter unlike the previous games prior to Halo 5 as they were too easy to kill (Halo CE: let them attack you, then shoot in the back with CE pistol) They were strong, fast and massive; basically unstoppable. On Legendary, the thrusters were basically useless in CQC and you had to re-think strategies to defeat them as a team. If they go berserk, then you needed to think quick and predict their movements (They double-shoot and attack extremely quick) Every predecessor to the Hunters in Halo 5 was - to a certain degree - weak and quite easy to kill. Yes, Halo 2 did change the behaviour of Hunters, but in Halo 5, their rapid attacks and powerful cannons make them living tanks of destruction. If you think about it, they’re basically Knights on steroids. That’s only the minor Hunters with a few exceptions but the Mythic Hunters are absolutely insane and the epitome of death with their cannons being 99% accurate and very hard to dodge plus they’re instant-kill and their melee is overwhelming to the point where they can destroy a Scorpion [HANNIBAL] and Phaeton [HELIOS] if you are not careful (This happened to me as well). Halo 5 Hunters are OP and in a good way. They were painful to deal with and could easily take you out without losing too much health. They’re: Bullet-Sponges, living tanks, Hell, and destruction combined into one package. Hell, they even come in pairs and sometimes come in Quadruplets (Four at a time).

You forget that Halo CE had fuel rod grunts as well (plus, fuel rods couldn't be picked up and would explode when the grunts died). They were really rare and only appeared in one or two of the last missions, but they were such a pain that IMHO they easily bump CE up a few places.

Halo 2 grunts could take a sniper shot to the body without dying. After one-shotting every enemy in H:CE, watching a grunt stagger to a bod shot from your 50 is a bit of a system shock. It’s been a while since I’ve really played Halo, but I remember how great the 50 was. I played H2A edition recently, and snipers just make them stagger instead of instant-death.

Depends on the mission sometimes. For instance Halo 3 had the mission where you are in the ark (i think it was) and alot of the grunts had fuel rod cannons which would wreck everything if you were not good at driving the vehicles. But for instance Halo 2 on almost every mission would be incredibly good at either lowering your health to make it easy for Elites to finish you off, or finish the job. Also you have to keep in mind the playstyle you like (aggro, tactical, tree hugger etc.) My playstyle usually falls inbetween Tactical and aggro. I find that halo legendary (except 4 and 5) forces you to play the sweet spot between feeling like a badass rambo and feeling like tactical special forces (although there is an exception for... well one game... **cough** **halo2**) Also depends on the situation (how many grunts are there, how many are shooting at you, how easily do they run away etc) So in my opinion it goes as is stated: (lowest number is the easiest) (also all of the difficulties i played in legendary) 6. Halo 4 5. Halo 3 4. Halo 5 3. Halo CE 2. Halo Reach 1. Halo 2 Also just so you know never played ODST, and only played a little of reach, so if my reach scaling is dumb let me know This is also before watching the video Tell me your opinions as well
