I always dreamed of building a treehouse as a kid… if my treehouse looked anything like this awesome HO scale version I think I would have exploded with excitement!
This is a HO scale model showcasing a 3 level treehouse and 3 absolutely amazing HO scale Redwood trees, these tree models are huge! Almost as tall as the 20 story building I made in the last video and that’s not even how tall they can actually grow!
Don’t forget to check out Ontrack_Modelrailroad on Instagram, after seeing an amazing treehouse model he made it inspired me to make this video. Here is a link to his page:

Hey Luke I know this is out of nowhere and you dont know me but I watched your videos during a time I was depressed and your videos - they distracted me from all of my sad thoughts. Watching you build miniature scenery kept my mind quiet. Atleast for a little while, I could feel peace. It felt like my life was standing still, so calm and tranquil when I watch your videos. I'm now writing you at a time where i'm mentally healthier. I dont think you wouldve thought or expected that making these videos would help someone with depression. Thank you Luke.

ha ha thanks Merrick, yeah it's sometimes hard because there's always that expectation of what the audience wants versus what I want... sometimes they align and sometimes they don't. This was definitely a fun build, I just wish I had the time and patience to build one thousand of these tall redwood trees to make a forest! I think it would take me over a year to do that many but I'd probably go insane after 20!

I grew up n Northern California with a Large Redwood tree right outside my bedroom window (on the 3rd floor). So of course I am a complete Star Wars nerd and love treehouses as well. You did a great job making the Redwoods, they look very accurate, and the ewok village is really a treat. If you ever make it out to California, make sure to visit the Calaveras Big Trees park where you'll see Redwoods and giant Sequoias also. Not to be missed.

They dislike because they don't and can't ever amount to much so, rather than be thankful for good entertainment, they instead try to tarnish it with a 'thumbs down'. I have an old empty coffee jar already filled with the dried leaves, I have used/drank over the past month or so. I would like to see you do a small diorama using them for ground cover or something else in trying them out. Plus, I'll like to see what you can do with the bags themselves, after cutting the four sides away into flat sheets?. How is that for a little challenge for you Luke? Heya, I know you were asking Luke, not me, but in case he doesn't see/ get time to reply i thought I'd jump in :) I'm relatively new to miniatures myself, but in my opinion, the best way to jump in and start trying some beginner projects is to google/ youtube search/ (the Instructables website can be good too!) simple tutorials that allow you to use stuff you've already got around the house. It can be surprising what can be done with stuff you'd usually toss away, ie. plastic bottles; cardboard cereal boxes; spent matchsticks; old dead pens, etc...! Other household items such as tissues ( can be used with glue to make a kinda papier mache), aluminium foil, and toothpicks can hold a lot of creative potential too! Add a few bits 'n' bobs, like some inexpensive acrylic paints, and you'll be surprised what can be created :) . A nice side effect of using stuff you already have - especially when it comes to kids- is that you can avoid spending big $$$ on supplies on a hobby that they may just get bored with in a week also, lol ( I'm a parent myself, so I know they can go through phases!). But if your kiddo starts getting really into it, maybe then you can consider branching out into purchasing more specialised stuff. What I've noticed is that there are soooo many different ways of making any one thing, so there are no real rights or wrongs.Try everything! It all depends on the effect you're after, and what's practical for you. Just take an experimental approach. The first thing of anything I make for the first time is usually a bit crap tbh, lol. But it's a learning experience! Eventually I refine and improve what I'm making. I've managed to make some things that I'm quite happy with, using quite inexpensive materials that most people would just throw in the bin! It takes a bit longer making stuff from scratch, but Imagination is the only limit, really :) Best of luck! Sorry if my comment is too long ( mine always are, lol). I hope you and your son have a bunch of fun with this enchanting art form!

@@3leggedsharkkickssurferinballs Do you know what your Myers-Briggs personality type is? My comments are always too long also and it seems to be common for my type. When I was little I had no idea what a diorama was and needed to make one for school. My dad helped me. We made a scene in a large box building up the "ground" with old newspapers and paper mache or plaster of paris, and made a popsicle stick structure for our little guy who was living by the river during the gold rush here in California. I was able to help my children make their school projects when they came along because of what my dad taught me and my own interest in miniatures.

@@recoveringsoul755 I don't actually; I've never tried the test. It might be interesting to give it a go! At any rate, it's nice to know that I'm not the only one who writes long comments! I think this trait in me stems from a combination having a lot to say and an enduring passion for writing. Not everyone has a passion for reading long comments on the youtube, though, haha. But, each to their own, huh ;) Aww, that sounds like a fun memory. What a helpful Dad :) That's awesome. Miniatures are such fun for kids and adults alike. Learning how to make them is also a really nice way to spend quality time with the kidlies, I think. To be honest, I am becoming lot more obsessed with miniatures now than my kid- or any kid I know- is!

I'm loving these big builds. Redwoods have been my favourite trees ever since visiting Yosemite, so thoroughly enjoyed this build. Thanks

This fella must be an amazing dad. Not because he builds cool models. Rather because if he has the patience to follow these 4000 steps he can likely handle a good 80% of what kids can throw at him.

I hope this isn't offensive but... I watch your videos to sleep. Your voice is so calming and I know there's no loud noises or screams in the video and the images are so calming as well.. I love it! I can't even watch half of it! I sleep like a baby... And then the next day I watch the whole video while eating lunch cause its just so fascinating!

Masterpiece it is. You totally did a great job.Thank you for sharing.Brings back a bit of my memory as a kid up to now I'm more than 50 but still climbing trees but it would be a dream come true if I could climb that tree you created with the WONDERFUL house in a bigger version offcourse but since not.I'll just imagine that tree house you made and I'm on top of the world.Thank you again for sharing.❤

As usual I have no words to comment on your skill and patience. I don't even try to do something like this because I would probably turn a railroad into a staircase for an old Italian moka coffee maker!
