I think it’s just the vocals being pushed more upfront in the mix. Layne’s vocals sound more prominent here than usual, which sounds off a bit when I’m just used to the harmonies being a bit more cohesive. Which makes sense in the Rock Band context since Layne’s vocals are probably the main ones when doing solo vocals and focusing on those makes it easier for the player.

Not the first time. I’m still confused where Rock Bands version of “are you gonna be my girl” came from. Drum fills and rolls are completely different.
