One of the comments everyone who works at Lula Roe has mentioned is how the brand empowers women. Lula Roe customers and consultants have left the following comments (and more) on my video. · “Not too busy to eat, though.” · “I question your mental capacity” · “I'm sorry but I'm a large 22 and the leggings, TC, fit me perfectly. There is no way that she would fit them, nor anything other than a 2x or 3x. You need to learn the true size and be honest with yourself.” · “you jumped the gun for someone who portrays to be a expert shopper...plus you might want to focus your energies on getting healthy first and foremost.” · “Bad consultants are to blame for your size and lack of insight on the correct size clothing for your body? You are in denial.” · “If it's hard to find plus size clothing them don't be plus size” They’ve chosen to fat shame me, call me a liar and also question my intelligence. They felt my critical assessments of a product justified them in making abusive comments towards me and my character. It's nice to know that to some of the LLR community a shirt is worthy of more respect than a customer with valid issues and concerns. In these cases, Lula Roe is empowering sales, at the cost of women.

I just wanted to highlight this because I was honestly trying to have a discussion about the product and the process for selling that product, however it was turned into a discussion about my intelligence and credibility as a human. I made the video for reasons I stated in the beginning- in the hopes that LLR would improve, because I want more plus options. I have learned over my business career is that if it's not broke usually a company wont fix it. I believe commentary like this has the power to create positive changes in a businesses. I hope women like you succeed, and that the company creates a no tolerance policy for bullying.

Of course they took cheap shots at you instead of acknowledging the product does not live up to the hype. I've honestly continued to buy because I love the Randy tees and I haven't had bad luck with leggings, but I completely agree with everything you said. The sizing is ridiculous. I'm an XXS in Irma, XS classic, Small Randy, Medium Nicole... Like, come on! And if it doesn't fit, you have to pay return shipping and eat the cost of the original shipping. I've met a few very nice consultants locally but I've also seen a lot of horror stories. And people do NOT like when I say that the fabric fades and pills. I know you didn't even get that far with yours, but I follow the washing instructions, don't put in the dryer, and many of my items pilled and faded after one wash. I buy a lot of stuff at Old Navy and it holds up better than this stuff that costs 3-4x as much! I believed the hype too. And Amen to your rant about fugly prints. Sorry people were so rude to you, some of them will do ANYTHING to dodge honest feedback and criticism.
@katherineandjelkovich53618 жыл бұрын
This is the first time watching this video. I actually saw it while I was trying to decide what hangers to buy for my upcoming debut as a LuLaRoe Fashion Consultant. As a customer and consultant I actually agree with you on many of your points. As far as others including LuLaRoe consultants insulting and belittling you, I am so sorry. I also have purchased from a consultant that was as slow as a sloth at doing ANYTHING, a consultant who put a restriction on the Carly that she knew I wanted (she made it so I had to buy the Carly AND another item AND they couldn't be leggings. So I spent $100) THE CARLY CAME TO ME WITH A GIANT HOLE IN THE ARM -- that B1tch! So pissed about that still.... and yes I could have returned it but it was something I fixed by some stitching. .... Anyway, in general consultants who just gave LuLaRoe a bad name. But LuLaRoe as a company didn't grow legs and arms and kick me to the ground. There are crappy consultants in any business (Like It Works! Who I refuse to ever buy from them again). I digress..... There are lots of really odd things as far as groups, purchasing, etc just like you said. Another thing I can't stand is the lighting. You don't REALLY know if the colors are right unless you find a consultant whose actually using a pretty good lighting kit. Yeah, phone screens and pc screens will show different colors too but there are ways to get these colors closer to what they really are. Which is something I strive for whenever I become a consultant in the next month or so. Thank you for the video. It really helped me know what NOT to do. Cheers :)

They outsourced the manufacture of their leggings to sweatshops in China, Vietnam----the usual sweatshop countries. It's like a factory making cheap auto parts----they sew as many pairs of leggings as possible, with no concern about the seaming (there are videos of "bad" LLR leggings that have the hot dogs coming out of the crotch section of the leggings, and many of the flower prints look like vaginas).

Lula Roe needs to see these comments. They need to try training their consultants to step back and deal with constructive criticism. That's the way of retail period, end of story. The put downs, shade and fat shaming is unacceptable and I wouldn't take this companies clothes if they were giving them away free. Empowering women? Humph, seems more like they're empowering a bunch of bullies. This company and its representatives should be ashamed. SMDH.😕
@jaeshasway8 жыл бұрын
Susie Q Good for you, maybe that's your experience. She didn't really say anything negative about the consultants. Her issue is with the clothing, the technology and the company. In fact as negative reviews go, this one was not that bad at all. Idk why everyone is so hurt over it. She is entitled to talk about her experience with the company. It's not the end of the world. And I think money wielding customers everywhere can make up their own mind about whether or not to buy Lula Roe. You act like her video will make or break the company. There are good reviews and bad reviews out there. Every company that sells to the public has positive and negative reviews. That is the way of retail
@jaeshasway8 жыл бұрын
Susie Q Maybe because it's consultant based, you feel she owes something more, but she doesn't. This is no different from any number of videos about a bad store or make up purchase experience. KZbin gives a larger voice, that's all than posting feedback on the company's FB page, emailing them etc. To relegate a complaint to a company page or FB just doesn't happen anymore when their are options like KZbin. My company has a special department to respond to all social media complaints. People generally don't take the time to complain unless the experience was poor. She sounds like an unhappy customer to me, plain and simple. I don't get the agenda you speak of, but maybe you feel that way because you are a consultant. IMHO she's using her platform and her voice to make her complaints known. People will still buy what they want regardless. This video isn't what deters me from purchasing, the people responding to her in hateful, shaming and unethical ways do though. It's disturbing. I would never invest my money in that. I'd have to know the consultant personally to buy.
@jaeshasway8 жыл бұрын
Who really cares (just consultants apparently) and what difference does it make? So if I post a video complaining about Walmart and some of my followers say, omg I'm never shopping there, do you think Walmart will care. If they did something wrong maybe if it was seen by someone who could make a difference, they would change. Unless the you tuber has a fan base of several million people, it will not hurt the business to make a complaint video. It's not slander. So what if she's angry? So what if people say they won't buy. You make it seem like people are flocking away from that company in droves. It's a video about her experience and well, she's entitled to talk about it. The company would have to truly prove they lost customers. Not possible. I guarantee that many people like myself had never heard of the company until watching. The negativity has been from folks like you. And why does it matter that you're a nurse, (in all caps?). I haven't thrown my title and education level around, it's irrelevant to the discussion. I'm a professional too. I'm sure there are those in my field that don't do a great job, but that's no reflection on me as long as I keep doing an outstanding job. You should take that attitude. This video will likely have zero affect your business if you're good at it. Some consultants are probably sub par while others are outstanding. Those that are outstanding will thrive, and those that aren't won't. I wish you all the best in your journey with the company.

I'm a size 18/20 and I'm in love with tall and curvy LulaRoe leggings... I haven't had any negative experiences but that totally sucks that you did. I would be just as frustrated as you. I honestly think it depends on the consultant you find and if their heart is in it. I have found 2 or 3 amazing consultants and just solely stick to them because you're right, some women don't know what they're doing and that's annoying. When it comes to finding your sizes, I just sought out a local consultant and tried on items to find my size and then I was set from there. Anyways, just wanted to share my experience and tips. Thanks for sharing your opinion it was pretty eye opening to see not everyone has a good experience with this business.

I have 5 pair of TC leggings and I've found the country of manufacture has a big part in the varying fit. Two of them fit great, two are ok but are shorter, and one constantly falls down and threatens to expose crack. Sucks that they aren't more consistent.

The way it works is that you are FORCED to sell whatever is given to you, BLINDLy. The consultants have to pay 5k up front for like 100 pieces. And I've heard only 15-20 percent are any good. And you get stuck with hideous prints, kids/toddlers clothes, etc. You should read the consultant reviews on Glassdoor.

If you pay a restocking fee you are essentially paying for something you already paid for. So you are getting the new items for "free" but really you are out the 15% restocking fee and you can't recuperate that. If you could chose your own patterns and colors that might be ok but if they are sending you unsalable merchandise and then charging you a restocking fee that isn't really fair on your part.

I worked marketing (for a short period of time) for a Lula consultant and my job was to not only research their strengths but their weaknesses. Once I started finding the PLETHORA of negative info, I was OBSESSED with finding anything and everything about the company because I could not understand how they were even a company. Not only that but a lot of the consultants won't admit that it's a pyrmid scheme. I tried to show the consultant I was working for an unending amount of evidence contrary to what she thought and she still wouldn't believe. I knew then that the koolaid was real. It's so sad. I would say that I feel bad for the consultants but they should have done their homework. It was facinating to see how ignorant most of the consultants were. That was over six months ago and the negative press, social media negative pages on Lula haters, and lawsuits keep building.

Gennevieve Grea. I have only one positive point to make about LLR. I have a friend who has a particular disease (I can't remember the name?) but it makes every single nerve on her body feel like it's on fire. She has to apply lidocaine before she can put clothes on. LLR leggings, due to them being so soft are the only "pants" she can wear. Literally. She kept talking about LLR but I never knew what she meant til recently, after watching these videos.

I have friends that sell LLR, and lipSense, and Mary Kay (ugh, how many parties did I get dragged to!?), and jamberry and Younique and Plexus...I can respect their decisions to do that with their lives, but I seriously HATE being added into a Facebook group about it, or being pressured by a friend to go to a Mary Kay party "because I'll get a free product!" UGH. Just. Stop. I always leave these groups but they come back and back as more people start them. Unfortunately, I can't get away from Plexus completely because it's a family member on FB :(. Oh well. My opinion is that sales are sales. And I don't want to be sold to. I want to buy things in my own time, and in my own way, and with my own budget.

I've bought a lot of Lularoe...too much actually, I was obsessed for a while and now I'm finding I'm only wearing the same 3 or 4 pieces. I was disappointed to find that they don't care enough to line up the seams so that stripes and patters are in line. I find that ridiculous for as much as they charge for their clothes. That alone has turned me off to them a bit. A company whose only concern is making money, not the quality, because they know the consultants they send them to have already paid for their inventory and are now stuck with them, is disappointing.

I hated Lue laroe right from the get go. Never bought into the scam. Some friends did and lost their shirts! Bad crap!

I've only gotten lularoe by hosting parties and getting free items, getting leggings as gifts or buying on Facebook yardsale pages. I have 16 pieces and I've only actually spent $40. I'm cheap AF! haha

This company can go in the trash along with all the other companies who increases grading when they're cutting clothing instead of actually making it for the plus size body. Plus size clothing is NOT that hard to get right, yet here we are, time and time again finding retailers who just don't care. Thank you for sharing this. I've almost purchased from them so many times, but the buying process is so left field. They are missing the mark in so many ways and being a startup is not an excuse!

I mean, the video kinda speaks for itself here. As someone who is in the fashion industry and also has a four year degree in fashion, the proof is in the pudding.

They are doing Something not right when one piece made in Country A is smaller than country B, and another piece of the same style is made in Country C but it is larger than country B..... And then the fabrics..... women have to ask what the pieces are made of, so they know if it is the fabric they like..... Don't get me wrong..... I LOVE Lularoe, but Lularoe has some learning to do, and something..... some ThingS need to change, and change soon!!

+Sharon Gibbons I have more complaints with Gap in that area than I do LuLaRoe. But, I gave up on Gap for that reason, so I get the frustration. (I should NOT have jeans from size 4 to size 12 from the same brand from the same year that all fit. Not okay.) But it's not an issue unique to LuLaRoe. It seems to be a problem with all companies who outsource to multiple factories in different countries.

I am actually so angry at myself for letting a consultant tell me that the "tall and curvy" pants would work for my size 26 behind, I can't even get the damn things over my thighs. I don't know what I will do with these pants but I ordered a heather grey pair, took over a month for me to get them and they are flipping purple!
@MoldyLoafofCuteness8 жыл бұрын
Kay Gilchrist I'm sorry..... that was a crappy consultant. UGH!!! Can't believe she really thought that a piece of clothing meant for a 24 at most, would fit a 26, especially when she hasn't seen your body shape. It took a month for you to receive it!!! That's AWFUL! And the color..... did she Tell you it was grey? She needs to know she sent you the wrong blasted color, and she also needs to give you credit, so you can get something else, that Does fit you, like a Perfect-T (that's not a perfect T in the video) However, you might not want to deal with the same consultant again, so I will recommend getting in touch with, Vanessa N Lularoe... she is on KZbin, and on Facebook. You can find her really easily.

I love the fact that you actually have expectations for clothing. Sometimes I find people who are okay with buying basically disposable clothing and I'm not okay with that. So it's a breath of fresh air to find someone as honest as you.

I agree. I had a friend's sister-in-law selling them and I was very hesitant to buy because they are very simple garments for a big buck. I was fortunate to be able to try my friend's lularoe clothes and I was disappointed. They are soft, yes, but they are also thin. The thread felt cheap because it rubbed at the seams and was not good for more sensitive skin. The prints are mostly awful. Wrong colors mostly. I would have killed for this pair with scissors on them if the background color wasn't fire truck red. It's expensive for the consultants, so unless they get really lucky, they won't really make a whole lot. Their necklines are very unfortunate. I am not a fan of scoop necks. Yup. The sizing is horrible.

I was mostly talking about the shirts/dresses. the leggings have other problems.

You can be impressed. I'm just not a fan. (it happens to be within my major so I'm more cynical about it).
@tibbynibby8 жыл бұрын
ha. Just because you believe in something, it doesn't make it so. The company isn't that great. Don't pretend it to be so, that's not doing the women who waste thousands trying to get in and fail because of that belief, any favors. Saying my degree doesn't matter is highly insulting. It isn't rocket science but it IS a science. Something that "feels soft" doesn't make it a good product. That's highly naive.

I thought I was the only one that was shocked by how junky my items were! I'm not plus sized and I've seen SO much variation in the legging sizes... it's ridiculous. Plus those leggings don't hold up at all they're made out of like cheese cloth

For people who say they're happy with LuLaRoe, LOL gurl you do you. We, on the other hand, will spend our hard earned coins on legit products from legit companies at a reasonable price :)
@DayleDenney8 жыл бұрын
I agree with a lot of your points here. The fit and the cut and the ease of transaction, those things are not acceptable. But when you talk about what is an appropriate price point, consider that when you reference companies like Old Navy as a reference, know that they are notorious for poor manufacturing conditions and unfair labour. Fast fashion skews our perception of what we should pay for clothing products.
@chloeshepherd8 жыл бұрын
This company is out sourcing then blaming their work force. Passing on poor quality items. Not good enough. Old navy is a big step above.
@DayleDenney8 жыл бұрын
+chloeshepherd not necessarily. We don't know anything about how lularoe compensates their overseas workers. My point is that we need to stop expecting ANY company to produce fast cheap fashion so we can score cheap clothing; and if we do, we need to know we are buying poor quality product and supporting poor quality of life for the workers.
@tracie25378 жыл бұрын
LuLaRoe is a Fair Trade company, which means that all employees in all facilities are paid a living wage, have good work conditions, and work 8 hour days like we do here in the U with 40 hour work days. LLR has a third party company come in and inspect all of their facilities at least once a month to make sure they are in line with all of these regulations. We are in 8 different countries now because there were not enough factories in the USA to support the growth. Many of the people employees in the other countries would not have access to a fair wage and good working hours if not for LLR.
@nicolegiles20638 жыл бұрын
+LuLaRoe Tracie Nath Except that a lot of the third party inspectors rarely do enough to uncover what's REALLY going on. Do your own research.
@micheleizzo2998 жыл бұрын
DeAnne, the company's founder, does travel to the factories herself as well and has come back with video footage of how clean they are and how happy the workers are to be there. She is a genuine person who cares about others, even the factory workers around the world.

THANK YOU!!!! I am so glad I haven't been sucked into this. As a plus size girl, I know what works for me and what doesn't. I am so sick of these uneven hemlines on tops and the material that is used. I'm a size 3x on top and more of a 2x on bottom. These tops and dresses with asymmetrical hemlines are not flattering for me at all, and they are not appropriate for work attire. I'm ready for the designers of the world get back to making more tailored dressy clothing. Don't get me wrong, I love very casual stuff too, but some of the stuff I see even in the big box department stores are even too casual for work. It's very hard to find conservative type work clothing. ALSO, I don't need a plunging neck line either .

their Sizing is flipping off the wall! I'm sorry but there is NO way you can make me believe that something is going to fit a 12 AND a 22 AT THE SAME FREAKING TIME!!!! and how is it possible to be a M in a shirt, a 2X in a other shirt, a L in a skirt....come on!!!

choirkitty i dont understand their sizing. I'm 4'10" and a size 0. their leggings fit me perfectly. Apparently their "os" leggings fit up to size 10. There's no way a size 10 could fit into leggings that fit my tiny size 0 ass perfectly.
