Shouldn't side load the boom when it's unnecessary. Be safe. Back in the day while working for a crane service, I carried a damaged Grove Jib to a "Certified Boom repair" shop in Fla. There I learned that for as much as they seem like it, these wrecker booms are not indestructible. That trip was quite a learning experience. Thanks for sharing. 👍🇺🇲
