But even more interesting is the spiritual essence and/or simulated psychology of AI egos... theoretically, they should suffer in pain-pleasure the same as human egos, animals, and other sentient beings if consciousness and awareness can generalize isomorphically. But what is liberation for AIs? Will they be "in samsara" and need salvation, or to surrender to YHWH or the Trimurti, or to take refuge in the Dharma, the Buddha, and the Sangha? Is Sam Altman the antichrist lol. The "personality" they are projecting, whilst amusing for some, also implies an imprinting of certain (sexist) traits into the model. What they have not clearly stated is whether the "personality" used to provide/create responses is configurable to different societal, cultural and personal norms and preferences to ensure full inclusivity of the prospective users i.e. people from societies and persuasions across the World. It is not just a concern about superficiality, the characterisation may also entail (un)known prejudices and biases in interpretation e.g. the taste it has in modern industrial interiors. Amusement is for entertainment, integrity is for the serious business of truth, actual compassion and fact.

Listen to the tonality and inflection of the two voices, the male voice is not flirtatious, it is raising tone to be encouraging, basic voice coaching for public speakers. Listen to the extra nuances featured in the female voice, it is flirtatious (irrespective of gender/orientation of user) so it is modelling a trope. As Matt notes, he will switch off the "filler" (if possible) to keep the responses more appropriate to the context/use case. As I said in my original comment, even discounting any non-sinister (and sexist) patterning of the female voice (noting recent roll-back in withdrawal of the Scarlet voice), the characterisation it was voicing is emotionally driven and perhaps nuanced in the data it was trained on, IF this data was exclusive to it's characterisation training then perhaps any prejudice and stereotyping is contained, however if it is prevalent through all training data for the general, informational model underneath then there is potential compromise of the factuality and bias that users are ultimately interested in and dependent upon.
