Hello Salt-Burners! Thanks for your encouraging comments and again for recommending this song. I dropped the key by one semi-tone to reach the high notes more comfortably but it did make the lowest notes a bit shakier! Best wishes ~John~

Thanks for watching and commenting so favorably, Joel. I hope you fell asleep peacefully! By the way, I have a request for you. I think you should play and post Chopin Mazurka Op 63 No.3. I recorded and posted it a few years back but I'm sure you can do a lot better!

Hello John from sunny Saltburn a couple of songs that may interest you. another Steven Foster song‘ Hard Times’ ( there is a lovely slow version of this by Kate and Anna McGarrigle) And what may appear an odd choice by Iris Dement-one of my favourite singers ‘Our Town’ . Hope you are both well. -Maggie is very busy coming up to Christmas(she sings in care homes). The-Saltburners

Many thanks for your suggestions, Saltburners. I love this beautiful performance of Hard Times (I notice that the wonderful Karen Matheson is also there) I shall certainly have a go at it It really needs harmony in the chorus so I shall have to try superimposing a harmony for the first time. It could take some time! I have just recorded The Cliffs of Dooneen after listening to Christy Moore's amazing rendition of it. I tried to do it with a rustic, Irish accent but I sounded pretty silly. Yuriko told me to just sing it in my usual style, so that's what I did. I shall publish it later today. Best wishes to you both ~John~

Magnifique John Merci.
