I knew Andrea and you briefly from Downs Road where I lived in 1983/4, I was so fond of her but our lives , like most young people, never quite synced and took us in different directions so we lost touch. I have thought about her all the time since and just hope she found peace and happiness because she had a beautiful heart I always thought. Is there a way we can message privately?

@@dangermouse6642 When I saw your channel name, I only ever knew one Danny so I thought it must be you. I remember her being fond of you. A lot of water has passed under the bridge since then. I married again in 1984 and went to live in Japan with my Japanese wife although we moved back here in 1991. I'm afraid Andrea and I have not kept in touch but the Iast I heard from her she was living in Brighton (Hove). She had a son who must be about 30 now although she wasn't married to the father. As far as I know she is still in Brighton. I'm sorry that's all I can tell you. I have had trouble many times with communicating on KZbin before and it seems to be impossible as private information cannot be kept secure. I hope that this message is of some use to you.

Hi John You’d make a decent detective. Your reply made me quite sad as I hoped that across the passage of the years Andrea and yourself may have reconnected. I myself had a desperate time in Luton and was so unhappy and Andrea was definitely a light in a dark time for me, we moved in and out of each others life for about another decade as I got my life back on track went to university, worked hard, graduated and grew up. I believe she was doing similar and went to uni in London(I think). The last time we were in contact would have been the mid nineties by that time i knew i had to make a choice and there was no way we could remain in contact in the same way we had been but it hurt deeply at the time. All I wish now is that she found happiness somewhere with someone. You told me more than I knew so I thank you for that and wish you and your wife well. I think it shows once you care for someone you always will.

It's great to hear from you again, Alan. Yuriko and I are both as well as can be expected considering our ages thank you. Sorry to hear that Maggie is suffering from such a long illness . Yuriko too has been suffering for 25 years from persistent Hives. I hope that you are not plagued by such problems. You did suggest my singing Coorie Doone some time ago but I listened to many versions but, although I like the song, it's always sung by folk with Northern accents so I thought my voice and accent would sound rather out of place so I decided not to sing it. Also, my vice is getting very weak now and I get sore throats when I try to sing. But I still can't find any songs I like, but I haven't given up looking.
