Amazing blues by LULU. From the movie "RED WHITE & BLUES" by Mike Figgis, presented by Martin Scorsese. With most of the famous British Blues musicians.

Lulu is an absolutely amazing singer. She has got to do more like this. She did a lot of Blues on her last UK tour. Wake up UK, forget Boom Bang A Bang is history. This is the real Lulu.

Lulu sings the blues? Wow. She proved it a little back in 1965 when she recorded Neil Diamond's "The Boat That I Row" (which came close). I always had faith in her but it never came. Not until now. She is marvelous. (Great commentary throughout by many giants in the music business). I am so impressed with this woman. Couldn't be better. BB King's commentary almost made me cry.

+MrMartybearass Lulu always had a great soul-blues-rock voice, going right back to when she was starting recording about 15 years old. Unfortunately, she got steered in the direction of very lightweight pop, singing idiocies like 'I'm a tiger, I'm a tiger - I'm a tiger, I'm a tiger' and similar complete shite. Her voice was wasted. She could have been a truly great british soul singer, or soul-blues singer, and probably been more successful, certainly in terms of album sales, than she ever was as a lightweight pop singer. A terrible waste of a great voice.

I love Lulu's amazing album Making Life Rhyme. As a follow up, Lulu really needs to do a song like this: the out and out Blues. She really has the voice for it and she has soul. Make a real soul album, Lulu.

This would have been far better with Van Morrison, Tom Jones and Eric backing her up as the "Luluettes".
