Stories like this are super disappointing to hear. I'm old, so there was no such thing as designer gymwear when I was that age. I don't love that teenage mean girls have taken over a brand that I've been buying for years. I am fully aware that lululemon is a higher price point that's not accessible to everyone, and to shame someone for not having the latest color is not okay, especially when you're a teen who probably isn't paying for their own clothing yet.

Random yet helpful tip: if you’re a younger teen/pre-teen and you want lululemon I recommend thrifting it+slightly sizing up. This way 1. It’s not as expensive 2. You won’t grow out of it as fast. Hope this helps!

I have a couple of lulu pieces I really enjoy (the belt bag changed my life, highly recommend for anyone that digs through their bag often) What I'm mostly intrigued by is the marketing. Ngl, I like lululemon. I buy on sale and they (usually) have good rain jackets. But the selection the past couple years has NOT been good. The actually cute items made of quality materials only get released with 1-2 colors, limited quantity. And then yeah, everything else is the same basic, shapeless, baggy (or overly long??) jacket in a bunch of different colors, mostly made from cheaper materials. I used to have this really cute rain jacket that stopped at the hips and had a little elastic to cinch the waist, and was super small/packable for in your bag/car. Lost it, and they never brought it back 😭 Don't even get me started on the new leggings ~ they pill like CRAAAZY and don't last a fraction of the time the old ones do.

Lululemon has a couple (only a couple) cute things, mainly that one tight jacket that you can zip up, it’s cute, but paying hundreds of dollars for one piece of clothing is outrageous 😭 and it’s so normalized, like everyone has it
