Hi Can you give an update on your take form yoga mat. I have the reversible 5mm mat without the rings and wanted to know the grip factor especially with warrior 2 and downward dog poses and how well the mat stays in place on the floor. Does it get grippier the more you sweat? That’s part holds true with the reversible mat. I’m reading mixed reviews on their website and not sure if I should upgrade or stick with the reversible 5mm mat. I do lots of hot yoga and will resume once the studios open again as they are currently closed due to Covid. I would love to hear more feedback on your experience with the mat. I wanted to upgrade due to the ring alignment which will help align my postures.

Hi!! To be completely honest- I had accidentally bought this mat- I was meaning to get the one you have since I’m mainly using it for hot yoga and I always put the lululemon mat towel over it anyways. I don’t get use out of the rings because of that but if you don’t use a mat towel, it would be helpful for alignment! It’s also nice to have the option to use the rings for regular yoga. It’s a beautiful mat, it never slips on the ground and the thickness is perfect. Dries fast after sweaty workouts. I’ve used it a ton since I got it and it doesn’t show any signs of wear (although keep in mind I protect it with the towel). I’m sure the grip is great without a towel (sometimes I slip on the towel fabric but I don’t mind). If you value the rings for alignment it’ll be worth the upgrade! Depending on the colour you choose, the difference in price is up to $60. Hope that helps.
