Hi guys that was a beautiful castle / mock Medieval Victorian mansion in a lovely area and so well maintained, and like you said Alessa it is very elegant as you go inside. Shame about the fire that happened though. It was great to look around and see memorabilia in the rooms and interesting that it has 43 fireplaces :) That was such a lovely narrated tour , thanks for all of the research, so good to see around it :) ~ Anna 👍

Hi, Alessa. Thank you for having me at the premiere. Wow..I was amazed by the structure of the castle with many details remaining at first glance. Then the history of the fire...Too bad to learn about the fire, yet it still stands proudly compared with many ruins. No wonder the floors were restored to nice wooden hard floors. This castle provides countless information compared with many ruins. They are very organized as well. Of course, I appreciate your research which is time-consuming work. Thank you always. Well done. 🙋♀🙋♀🚣♀🚣♀

Visited yesterday using my English heritage membership. My daughter and I had a great time, despite torrential rain making all chalk walkways from the car park to the building fast flowing rivers. I know it's known as lulworth castle, but there's really nothing castle like at all. As you say, it was a hunting lodge and a flash house. It's a shame the chapel has nothing of the chapel left in it apart from the pew. The disabled lift is useful, but the canon pretty much destroys any semblance of a chapel. Weirdly, the basement is one of the real highlights, with the cellars and kitchen. I wouldn't say the views from the roof are stunning, except maybe the barrow view, but it's wonderful that they made the roof accessible. Too many places prevent access to a roof space. The tea room was a particular let down.. my daughter and I were very much looking forward to it, but despite a decent bean to cup machine with sensibly priced coffee, the £2.50 a can of coke and £2.00 a bottle of water isn't justifiable. Too many places charge these prices, and the fact the building isn't anywhere remote, they should dial those prices back a bit really. Pleasant staff were a bonus. Couldn't turn a corner without being sniffed by dogs, as it's practically a kennels as it is desperate to win a dog friendly award, with stickers and a pet visiting book. Odd. Now, for a real castle, 15 minutes away is Corfe castle, which is such a better experience. I'd say visit this, there is a real enjoyment of seeing 5 floors of windows from the basement to the roof. One real negative point is the Saturday wedding tables and chairs shoved behind scrappy partitions. They don't hide anything at all, and from above, and idea of secretion of this cash grab is nullified by seeing the tat from above. They should store that stuff in the other buildings

This is a little different but such a welcomed change in the scene! I love this country castle or mansion, and the history behind it! Again as you are speaking, I get the view in my head of how the elders looked how they lived and hunted around this beauty, and the country mansion nearby. This had such an adventurous background too! The entrance is just breathtaking, I agree, I see why it’s your favourite! Thank you for the great scenes guys, love it from beginning to end! You guys must of built it just to do this video 🤣 I am so use to seeing ruined castles, fortresses, abbeys and churches, I feel a bit lost 😊 it is a magnificent caslte, indeed. Putside looks newer than the interior on this castle. 17 owners are quite the exchange of hands. What a gorgeous place and I love that you address questions we might have before we ask. Shame that it couldn't be restored inside too. This place really does give you enough for the imagination to run with though. I may have missed something in the commentary though, I don't understand the comment "The King was devastated after the fire?". Did I hear that correctly. There was mention of a Kings Bed as well. The Chapel was a fitting end to this video. Beautiful tour and commentary as usual! Thanks so much for starting my day off with a lovely video.

We stopped in Dorchester about 3 years ago for 4 nights and after a visit to Lulworth Cove and Durdle Dorr, we went to Lulworth Castle for a visit and I found the outside really impressive but comparatively disappointing on the inside. Loved seeing it again and remember doing the walk in, the same way as you did. We knew nothing of the history as it was a last minute decision to visit, so real interesting to hear the castles background. Oh we did make a visit to the tearooms for scones and cake, both were superb as well as I remember. We also visited the very impressive Chapel house, so I really enjoyed this one as it brought back so many fond memories of that day, cheers Alan
