Spent many a quiet day wandering around Lulworth cove £10 to park a car that's a bit steep, we've caught a bus from Swanage it took best part of an hour to get there, but had some fantastic views from the top deck. Last time we were there we had a speedboat trip to Durdle door and back, great fun bit of a white knuckle ride 😅

Going by bus is a good plan. Having said that everything there is expensive. I've been lucky enough to do the trip along the coast in a couple of different boats over the years. Definitely a nice way to see it all.

Nice video Joe. Such a beautiful place. Lots of amazing childhood holiday memories. It's such a beautiful place but such a shame that it's so expensive there. Really cashing in on a lovely little gem.

I'm sure they'd tell you it costs so much to look after the whole estate and that's why it's so expensive but really I think they could do better if they wanted to. Still worth a visit in my opinion.

Hi Joe, the council have to spoil a nice little break for a day out. It is a beautiful place, I have fond memories there and go back every year it’s one of my favourite places. I don’t envy the ladies swimming in the sea at this time of the year either. Thanks for the video it’s amazing. 👌

Hi Marilyn. Actually it's all privately owned so just for once we can't blame the council for this one. I'm sure those ladies love their cold water swims but it's definitely not for me. I've done the weymouth harbour christmas day swim 3 times now but that's just in across and out. This year I walked on to the pontoon to start thinking to myself "how did I get myself into this again?"😂

Wow, Lorth Cove looks absolutely stunning! 🤩 The kayaking and coasteering adventures sound like so much fun! 🛶 Even with the £15 parking fee, those coastal walks and views seem worth it. Definitely adding this to my bucket list! 😊 Thanks for the detailed tour!

In my view yes it's worth the money. I love the place. But I couldn't just tell people how lovely it is and leave them to get an unexpected shock when they got there. Thanks for watching. 😁

Great video Joe. Yes, I would say Lulworth Cove is worth it... it's an amazing & beautiful place. My July 2019 holiday there, staying at the nearby Lulworth Lodge, was the best 4 days I have ever had.

Lulworth is stunning but it's a giant cash cow for the estate, we normally go in October I used to drop my wife off and park on a road on the outskirts of Lulworth unfortunately now they've stopped this too. What amazed me during the pandemic was the pictures of durdle door beach swamped with thousands of visitors. But nothing was mentioned about the estate making so much money for parking that weekend.

Actually when I made this video I did park in the street rather than the car park. To be fair that's quite limited and you need to be there early. I went in January so it was pretty quiet anyway. Not sure if I remember this correctly but I seem to think the car parks were not open when all those pictures and stories were coming out in the Pandemic. They had massive problems with illegal parking too.

First time I'm here, first I've heard of you, first comment therefore and sorry it's not better than what follows. Oy I'm still waiting for the answer to the question you posed way back when. Not expecting a cost per coast analysis of how NT and local councils seemingly fund their pensions nowadays, the car park. But a nod in the sixth (?) direction towards some semblance of an answer can't be too taxing can it?

Hi. I'm really not surprised you haven't heard of me before. Even my phone which supposedly uses facial recognition to unlock doesn't know who i am 🤣 The whole estate including Durdle Door and Lulworth Castle is privately owned so not the usual story. I wanted to show this beautiful place but didn't want to encourage viewers to visit without knowing it's going to hit them in the pocket a little. I did tease a couple of bits of further information and I guess I wasn't clear enough at the end but the point was if you clicked on the link for the Durdle Door video at the end that information was all in that video. Thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment.

Its £20 to park car for the day now,£10 for 4 hours. not sure if its summer prices and it will lower again october-march?
@JoeCoastal7 ай бұрын
I saw that somewhere else. When I went there in January I parked on the road so didn't pay but quoted the price on the website. It didn't offer different prices for different times of year so I wouldn't guarantee it going back down after summer. Was your visit worth it?
@ollie13177 ай бұрын
@@JoeCoastal yeah went to kimmeridge and back by Sup another 6 miles taking me to about half of the Dorset coast paddled and some nice caves that most people dont get to.
@JoeCoastal7 ай бұрын
@ollie1317 wow that's great. I'd love to do that. How long did it take?
@ollie13177 ай бұрын
@@JoeCoastal Around 2 hours each way. It is a hard paddle though that is potentially dangerous with few exit points should anything go wrong, Certainly not one to be taken lightly and needs good planning. Most people would be better off heading the other way to DD and bats hole. kzbin.info/www/bejne/m6Smi6t6qbCUeZY
