Some days I ask myself why I co-main this ridiculously tech-heavy princess. Some of the hardest execution in the game. Why do I do this to myself. But then I remember. It demoralizes my enemy to be defeated by this courageous woman of royal blood. Long live Rosalina, first of her name, and Luma, breaker of combos, savior of disadvantage.

I've always used dash attack (A button) into z-jump for the cancels. I'm going to have to try the c-stick method now. Awesome video!!!

Thanks! :) I actually use that method for ledgetraps, but the c-stick method otherwise since you can dash attack during your initial dash without getting Fsmash.

nice vid, love your guides its so well done, i was wondering if you're going to go into the usage of LD on shield, also i didnt think of LD defensively being a bad habit, on the other hand i still think its very good in terms of spacing or setting up luma and most opponents recognizing they can hit there should be treated the same as attacking between dac nair gaps, i also think LD back is probably the best out of the main 3 airdodge directions, because of how it helps rosa deal with jump ins without directly challenging them and down tilt guarantees follow ups just like LL bair (maybe even better), and just general space control, but anyways again good work love how digestible this vid is it'll def help new or even long time rosa players

Thanks for the kind words :) I definitely don’t think using LD defensively is always bad, I just think It’s particularly useful if you have a read on their approach and I wanted to mention that because I’ve seen other Rosa’s and myself default to using it in neutral a little too often, and I’ve had success in more matchups provoking with starbits and dash dancing to punish landings/whiffs with these tools. But hey, no right answers, everyone’s got their own styles! Thanks for the feedback, I’ll try out Dtilt for a little instead of my usual F/Utilt cancel nair

Hi Nick!! I love your vids and I've learnt a lot from watching your guides. I play with a pro controller, but I was wondering if you usually use the C stick to do your dash attack and aeriels, or if you only use it for the dac nairs? Or if you've noticed any difference in the difficulty of executing dac nairs using the c stick compared to A (attack) button instead. Ive grown so accustomed to using A since its easier focusing on 1 less input but i've only noticed now that I should probably switch to C stick since it seems more skillful and convenient. 💙💙

Hello! I actually always use the c-stick for all dash attacks, and I usually use it for aerials as well, but not always. The reason I use c-stick for dash attacks is because you can use it instantly. If you use 'A' after dashing you need to wait, otherwise you'll get an Fsmash. Other than that circumstance, there shouldn't be a difference and it all comes down to preference :) Using 'A' might be slightly easier, but I figured it would be a better habit to learn the input that will always work.

I’m very happy to learn with someone that truly knows Rosalina’s potential ⭐️ I also have a question for you… I’ve been playing with her with my normal switch controls or with the pro but it’s difficult for me to do the up air while in the ground… I have to tilt the joystick very slow if I want to make it My question is.. is it the one I use? Is the gamecube one better? Which one do you use? 😅💕 Thank you✨

Thank you for the kind words! :) Although I use the GameCube controller, it’s not necessarily any better! I’d suggest changing your right stick to “tilt attacks” that way you don’t need to worry about accidentally jumping. Also if you turn off “tap jump” it would be easier too since you wouldn’t need to be so careful Let me know if that helps you!

@@Nick_Leo I've been struggling with the luma dash and grab, every time I would use Luma and then try to grab with Rosalina... she would not move or she would shield instead of grabbing, also when I try to do the air attack and coming back down every time I hit a character she lags and she won't go down fast ... could you help me please

@@russdelrey DAC wavedash is a really difficult tech to master, but once you drill it enough it gets easier. Assuming that you are inputting it correctly, you need to wait a little bit before dashing with Rosalina. If you try to dash too early (while Rosa is still wavedashing) then she will end up walking instead of dashing. So simply do the input, then wait half a second, then dash. As for your issue with DAC nair, its a similar story. After you hit an opponent you need to wait for Rosa to be at the peak of her jump before you can fastfall. So after you hit them, wait a second, then fastfall and it should work. These inputs all have a delicate balance between hitting buttons really quickly, then being patient before hitting your next buttons. Let me know if that helps!

Hi nickleo! I was talking about this on the rosa discord but forward throw can combo into dac nair which can lead into upward fsmash against some characters which can kill very early. Also against some characters at low percent fthrow to dac nair to jab to grab is true. Is this viable in a match scenario?

@@AWater22 I also was able to get it to true combo bayo at 20% (no DI) which is pretty crazy. I'll need to test w/ DI in a little. I tried this on a few other characters and either couldn't get the DAC Nair to connect or could only get it to connect starting at like 15% where it had no chance of killing. My initial thoughts is this might be ultra niche as far as MUs and %, but could be devastating if you fish for it and get it. But I need a lot more info before I say for sure how good this is. As for the jab into grab combo, I couldn't get it to be true on the couple characters I tried. Do you know what characters / %'s it would work on to save me some time labbing?

@@Nick_Leo it works and kills Pika at 5 but the FF timing is frame perfect. It also works on Sephiroth idk exact percentages. For the jab grab combo I think it works on infinite falcon ganon joker and seph. I’m sort of confused because in the conversation they keep altering between jab grab and just grab. At 0 I think. she is good in the air and on the ground plus it depends on the matchup, but I would lean toward being on the ground more in neutral since she is pretty fast and can use all of her attack cancels and grab.
