You can also get ever seeds while fishing for jellyfish... you must be in a spot where there are no fish or bubbles for pirate loot. It's by chance, but I got 3 ever seeds just fishing for 2 jellyfish recently.

You should try and hold the upgraded Hoe while harvesting crops (not forage), it will let you harvest multiple crops at a time depending on your upgrade level. Also, harvesting with a hoe is just faster than pulling up by hand but pulling up by hand will give you the same luck stat of your hoe giving the same chance to get double (or quadruple!) crops.
