a good review for somone already performimg manual therapie techniques
@BrookbushInstitute6 жыл бұрын
Hey Nilsa, Totally agree, Ideally these would be used an introduction followed by a live workshop/class, or as review for study after a live workshop/class. I am very respectful of the sentiment that manual therapy is best learned in a live setting. Dr. B2

is there anyway to perform the P/A mobs for the lumbar in sidelying?

This video is great! What would the PA on the spinous process help with? I suppose flexion and the unilateral rotation?
@rogerpt10111 ай бұрын
Derangement with extensjon direction preference or extension responder central/symmetrical and/or asymmetrical/unilateral, and extension dysfunction. Rotation is not included in PA mobilization as there is no lateral component. It is only a sagittal component.

So if I’m doing a unilateral PA by pushing on the transverse process itself ... am I assessing T12/L1 AND L1/L2 simultaneously? (Since I’m not exactly on a facet joint?)
@brentbrookbush95054 жыл бұрын
Ideally you would be pushing on the facet, although you can press on the transverse process. if you goal was to impart more of a rotational force. As far as which segment you are addressing, it should be the segment associated with the facets you are pressing on; however, if you choose to press on the transverse processes you may have to consider that you will affect the facets above and below that vertebrae. Why don’t you get a biker named Tiny that is 275 pounds and 6’6” with a bad back to be your assistant?
@BrookbushInstitute3 жыл бұрын
Hey Jeff, this is the Brookbush Institute's Social Media Manager. When most of these videos were filmed the female you see was actually Brent's girlfriend at the time. They would spend 8 or so hours filming 3-5 videos in a day. It's very difficult to find a patient/client who would be able to take out that kind of time to film for that long.
