What a wonderful time I had talking with a Maine legend of the woods, with a rod, and on the radio - the one and only, V. Paul Reynolds.
He was a great host and a pleasure to speak to.

In this show, host of the Maine Outdoors Paul Reynolds speaks with Tommy Carbone about his new novel, ‘I Am Penobscot.’
The book is historical fiction based on the life of Maine pioneer, river-driver, Civil War soldier, miner, and outdoor writer David Stone Libbey who always signed his articles, ‘Penobscot’. He signed his writings this way to signify his love for his home county in Maine where he hunted to make a living and the river he drove logs on.
Tommy and Paul’s discussion touches on river-drives, logging camps of the later 1800s, and Maine historians Fannie Hardy Eckstorm, Lucius Lee Hubbard, and Thomas S. Steele.
