Really appreciate your Deep Dives as I don't get into Luminar 4 daily and, as refreshers, they provide the "oh, right" moments. As you do the dives on example photos, the "why" questions get answered. Well done and thanks!

Good tutorial again Jim, you have a great gift for teaching that I do enjoy! I am new to Luminar 4 and Aurora HDR. I work with them as additional tools with PSElements and another great plug in called Elements + (adds in many of the features regular PS uses). The combination of these programs and the ease in which you can go back and forth is fantastic. Luminar 4 has really reduced my editing time, I like that both products work with RAW files. Blows me away that I can use a single Raw photo in Aurora HDR and get the same results that stacking use to give me, but no more stacking is needed, this again is a huge time saver. Getting back to Luminar 4, I watched others videos but I like your skill set the best, your amount of posting is very regular and well done!!! Thank you for all you do!!! Moonpie

Thanks Jim. You helped me to find the Blacks which is something I always missed when I frequently use with Apple Photo. I am not sure if the effect are the same. I will try and comment.

Thanks again, Jim. You always do a good job and I always learn much as a result. On another note, sometime it would be helpful to see your take on adding a logo or watermark.
@JimNix
@JimNix 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching Tom. I have had others ask about adding a watermark too, so maybe I should try that sometime. It's just that I don't like them and thus never use them, so I never think about it. But maybe I can find something useful for those who do use them. Thank you.

because I found it somewhat complicated to add a logo, I chose to use Photopolish...it easily adds a logo to my L4 pictures...

Hi Jim, thanks for all your great videos, i love them all. Here I don't agree with your usage of the eyedropper. I find it very helpful. In my opinion you should not point it to an area which "is" neutral in the photo but to an area that "should be" neutral in reality. I use it like that and usually make only minor corrections after that by using the sliders.
@JimNix
@JimNix 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching Erwin and yep that makes a lot of sense about how you use it. I still prefer to just move sliders but it's great to have that flexibility.

Are the whites and the blacks not directly influencing the dynamic range? I use ist together wirg the option-key on a Mac to define my white and blackpoints and correct, if it’s going too far...
@JimNix
@JimNix 4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I think it all comes into play, and honestly I just mostly go by how the image looks/feels to me, instead of by trying to be accurate/specific about any of it

It's just something in your image that you know should be gray.

Thanks again Jim! Would you consider doing an edit using Luminar 4 and Topaz Mask AI? I am tempted to purchase Mask AI, but cannot find a video using it with Luminar 4.
@JimNix
@JimNix 4 жыл бұрын
thanks Vince and funny you should mention that, I have been thinking the same thing - Mask AI is quite good, so I should take a look at a video about that, thank you
