Thank you for nice video I have question appreciated to answer me my question is : Does Luminar AI or 4 have a feature similar to Photoshop Magic wand or lasso tool in order to isolate stamp tool or otherwise interfere or overlap when using said brush ?if so , do you have any videos covering this or explain me by email .thank you

That's a good question. I haven't seen anything like that during my explorations, but will keep an eye out for it. Maybe someone else can chime in?

Good tutorial, although I am confused as to why you went from Photoshop to Luminar to do all the layer work, when it could all be done from within Photoshop.
@LarryLourcey3 жыл бұрын
Just trying to incorporate both into my workflow. LuminarAI was created to be used as a stand-along replacement for Photoshop, but I'm kind of set in my old ways... so I still bounce back and forth between the two. :)

Nice demonstration. But here's the thing, with this software being "A.I.", you'd think that it would at least be edge aware when masking. Maybe in a future update?
@LarryLourcey4 жыл бұрын
Good point. I sure hope that is a future enhancement. AI Masking would be super helpful- especially if it worked well.
@stephenisheta84573 жыл бұрын
Photoshop already has 'select subject' so it doesn't make sense for luminar to not have it
@andrewmckinney30534 жыл бұрын
Quite informative. Just a suggestion re the 2nd image: once the 1st erasure mask was brushed, one could copy that and paste to the 2nd texture mask to ensure the same exact effect as well as for time saving. Thanks for the tips!!

I suppose you could mask in a second image - if that's what you mean.

Hi, How I reset the Masking layer rotation? I put the signature logo on masking and when I re compose the photo by rotating and croping the signature also goes rotate and then I am unable to reset only the signature. is there any way I can reset the Mask texture layer?

1) If you also want to add glow at the end do you have exit Luminar AI and then get back it or is there a way to get the tools list to appear again? 2) Photoshop has more precise selection tools. Can you pre-select in PS before entering Luminar AI as a plugin?
@LarryLourcey3 жыл бұрын
Hi Martin- excellent question! 1. I'm not positive on this one, maybe someone else can chime in with an answer. I believe you would have to exit Luminar to do that-but I'm not positive. 2. I agree that it is easier to select in PS - but in fairness, that might be because I've got a lot more experience using it. I haven't seen a way to bring in an existing selection- but maybe they will add that in a future update??

Could’ve you have copied and pasted the mask to speed up applying a second texture? Really appreciated this video.
@LarryLourcey3 жыл бұрын
Hi Michel - I'm gonna have to look into that one. I've never tried it before but that doesn't mean it isn't possible.
@kirklaws-chapman72813 жыл бұрын
You can avoid the work in recreating masks for adding muliple textures by using the copy/paste/invert controls for masks - the commands are in the 3-dot menu next to the selector for mask type.

Thank you for this clip. Can we select the object (girl) in using one of the photoshop selection tools then move in to the Luminar AI?
@LarryLourcey3 жыл бұрын
I haven't tried that-but I don't think you can. Maybe someone else can chime in?? Interesting idea.
@jazzman16263 жыл бұрын
I don’t think it would work because it’s part of the Luminar ai process to separate the subject from the photo in order to change the background.

Hi, thanks for this video . I have a question. Suppose there are two trees & one selects the mask (Brush) in the color tab and changes the hue and paint on the leaves of one tree, the color of leaves changes. But now if the color of the leaves in the other tree needs to be changed to a different color, no option is found for selecting a new brush with a different setting like in the lightroom. Can you please advise?
@LarryLourcey4 жыл бұрын
Well, if you are just adjusting the color of the leaves (making them warmer or cooler-rather than a drastic change) you could do each of them on a different local masking instance. If you are doing a major color change and need to use the Color tool, I'd probably do each tree on a separate layer in Photoshop, process them separately in AI and then just mask in the trees. Not the easiest work-around, but it would get the job done. Hope that helps!

Hi Ron- yes this one is from a while back - but Luminar AI is still relatively new, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Did it not answer your question? Let me know what you are missing so I can try to include next time I update this one.

WARNING. If you want to use AI please consider running a trial version before you fork out your hard-earned money. AI is very power-hungry. It takes 5+ minutes to load. Any step you want to take to edit in AI will crash your computer and may ruin your photo. You will need a supercomputer to run this application. Most of the features are available in PS. I had to roll back to version 4 to save my editing time.
@LarryLourcey3 жыл бұрын
Hi Rajesh. Have you tried reinstalling the software? I'm running mine on a 2017 iMac and it loads very quickly. No way it should be 5 minutes. Might be worth trying it on a different computer. Definitely don't need a supercomputer.
@gothamelliott3 жыл бұрын
Rajesh, I've been running Luminar AI for about a month on an HP Pavilion and do not encounter anything even vaguely like you are reporting. AI loads and runs like any other large piece of software.
