How to change colour with genswap please
@DigitalPhotoMentor10 ай бұрын
Of what? Like a shirt or something? You would select it and type a prompt. But you can do that way easier and without getting an entirely new item using the color tool

Well…I’m not a Luddite, but I think Luminar may be crossing an amorphous line here. I’m not exactly an Ansel Adams “straight photography” nut, and as the song goes, They all laughed a Cristofer Columbus when he said the world was round. I do like that Luminar is working to expand the horizons of photo editing, but they haven’t even put in a simple frame ( borders ) routine yet. So far this is a cute gimmick and I’m not sold yet.

I agree. But they have to do it to stay in the marketplace and compete with the other tools that all have it. Fyi Ansel Adams wasn't a purest. Far from it. He used filters, the zone system, manipulated his negatives when processing and his prints were heavily dodged and burned. The final print was not at all necessarily reality

Thanks for your fine intro, Darlene. I have to agree that this is really not photography, though. Just like placing unrealistic objects in an image using Photoshop, it doesn't work for me. Of course, it can be fun and entertaining. I don't think it is a "moral" issue or "cheating". Perhaps users should transparently declare the AI contribution to the image, just like we add our in-camera settings when we post a photo. It is a tool, and it may find its niche in editing.

Agree, we'll have to see how it all unfolds and plays out. Although you could add a nice bottle of wine to your images? ;-)

Oh dear.....this looks like a gimmicky AI unrealistic piece of garbage. Why would anybody want to ruin a photo by adding an object that is obviously false and not enhancing your photo? NEO is supposed to be a serious photo editor...NOT a silly cartoonish program!! I do hope that they are not going down this artificial route rather than improving the serious photo editor. I'll be giving this a very wide berth
@DigitalPhotoMentor11 ай бұрын
Well yes but keep in mind that Photoshop produced very much the same results out of the gate too. This is a tool that learns and it was just released so you need to give it a chance to mature and evolve.
@NJM194811 ай бұрын
@@DigitalPhotoMentor Yes, I am asware of that and it should get "better". It's just that there seems to be a fad about creating artificial bits and pieces that do nothing to enhance your photo. Perhaps they should put this in Luminar AI instead of their flagship serious editor

@@DigitalPhotoMentor 😉I wasn't being literal!! Just saying that it would be a better place to have this feature in my opinion. If this catches on it will make people wonder if any image they see is actually a photo. If this feature is used in someone's image, then I think that there should be an acknowlegement by the poster that AI is included and is, by all intents and purposes, a composite
@DigitalPhotoMentor11 ай бұрын
@@NJM1948 It's already more than caught on. Are you not familiar with how much AI is already out there in the world not just photo editing software? You can generate an entire image using AI prompts, no camera is needed. And it's really hard to tell the difference often.
