That's exactly my thoughts! Luminar Neo is fun software to use, but it's not a replacement for Photoshop or even Lightroom. And it's kind of expensive. The Photoshop, Lightroom, Lightroom Classic (the good one), and Adobe Fonts package is cheaper than the early subscription to Luminar Neo. That's crazy!

Hey Stefan, FYI that's the old Luminar Neo logo and some of your text overlays have typos. At 1:08 it says "Editied in Photoshop" and your bullet points say "Compete Package" under PS/LR and "Purchace Option" under Luminar Neo.

Even with the last update the library is mediocre. I use Neo as the secret sauce to finish off an image. The twilight enhancer, focus stacking etc are handy.

As you've included Lightroom, you could've included Luminar AI as a Lightroom equivalent for bullk editing.

Dropped PS and LR when they went to a subscription based model. Picked up Luminar. Now Luminar is going to a subscription based model. I still like Luminar Neo. But, if they go to a subscription based model only, I'll have to rethink keeping it.

I get your point, but as someone who did photo editing at college over 10 years ago and runs a small busy store, I think Luminar Neo might be the heavyweight champion in my world. I'm not looking to do any intense editing, just a bit of snipping and polishing.

A comparison of only two potential candidates is far from comprehensive whose value serves only to pump up one or both to the exclusion of other direct competitors. Not useful. Most of them are functional. Compare them all paired down to can do and can not do and which are subscription (ie. one way business model) or license (ie. Two way business model). Everybody is a critic.
