Cosmos eating his words rn. I just used Corrin to make top 33 at a 100 player tournament (going 3-2). Then (on the day of this comment) I made top 16 going 4-2 at a tournament with almost 50 players. My results are skyrocketing now that I am focusing on developing my Corrin and using Marth on the side. It's crazy.

About the whole Shadic adaptation thing, consider he played Sonix 4 times that day, he got 2-0'd in Pools, then lost 3-0 in winners, then won 3-2 in GF and 3-0 in True Finals, not only that, but all of the games Sonix won happened in a row and so did Shadic's, so what basically happened was Sonix beat him over and over, until he couldnt beat him anymore. If that doesnt paint you a full picture, nothing ever will. Shadic's a god damn Saiyan.

No one was saying that Acola was number one when that particular set happened, and indeed, if a ranking had been made right then and there, Sparg0 would have been number one. Sparg0's underperformances afterward are what let Acola be number one in both the ranking and in the view of most people. Very few are arguing that Shadic is currently number one in the world. People are saying that he could be, that's all.

Someone who's been playing smash for 5 years is just going to beat someone who's been playing for 5 months because of the experience factor. They can adapt and notice habits so much quicker

This. I've only been playing Ultimate since July of last year. While I have improved a lot, I still get absolutely demolished by more experienced players. One of my buddies has played competitively since Sm4sh, and he picks me apart more often than not. I can take games off him sometimes, but usually it's pretty one-sided.😂😭

i don’t get how Corrin vs Fox is horrendous. it’s just a volatile match up. similar to Fox/RoB. if it’s a horrendous matchup and Light has lost not once but twice in a row set wise vs Shadic … that like saying Light stinks at the match up which clearly isn’t the case. i don’t get why everyone keeps downplaying Corrin. Corrin is clearly better than Aegis result wise. and it’s not just Shadics Corrin but Leo’s, Spargo’s, Neos’ etc etc leo should go back to Corrin for his bad matchups. Wario, Mario, Kayuza (ask riddles) and now Sonic (ask Sonix)

Being underaged and a top smash player is cool if you're the only one doing it, but now that a good portion of the players on Lumirank can't legally drink, I believe there's a problem. Ie, Smash Ultimate does not reward legacy skill and the old pros' years of experience with previous games means nil in Ultimate.

But Tekken, Street Fighter, Melee, and basically every other FG have older players on average, because of the amount of labbing required for combos and counterplay to certain moves- and because content is largely the same between games. Some may say that's boring, but I say if you want variety, play a different franchise. It's better than begging game devs to change a formula that already works.
