I love this light, it has become my edc light the only modifications I made was to swap out the stock optic with a carlco 10507 and the stock glass lens for a sapphire one. I highly recommend anyone snag one of these affordable little power houses. Great review Larry.

@@mtronaut1694 I'm pretty sure I got the cree 3d emitters. The sst20s are more color accurate, but less bright by a couple hundred lumens. Both of them in the neutral category though.

I bought the EDC18 in CW because of the nature of the FWA being fiddly and some problems with the switch, but I still ended up ordering one in SSt-20 4000k, because everytime I see reviews of the FW3A, there's something about its body shape that attracts me to it, its size, form factor and minimalist design... I hope mine will arrive soon and without any problems out of the box.. Btw nice review and amazing beam shots!

Well the directions say not to remove the bottom cap but just as he did in this video most people do and that’s where a lot of problems come from.
